Got this call to Finland, looked like a UK (+44) number so I answered. Some guy claiming to be from a GBL enterprises in Malaysia or similar with a proposition. Followed a script, knew my name from a business register but I didn't confirm it (script was good, he kept saying his supposed name to build trust so I would confirm mine, which I didn't).
Wanted basically to fish for contact info so that the next level up would contact. Gave an email I use just for such purposes, and a couple of unknown numbers called afterwards (I didn't answer of course).
Now of course it could have been telemarketing a legitimate scheme, but I'd doubts it, and I don't like strangers with re-directed fake-country numbers prying after personal details and trying to sell whatever it is I don't want. I didn't really listen, but in this case there was a minimum investment of 10,000 euros. LOL!
Unwanted call and high chance of info theft or other scam. Don't answer or say goodbye. Then block.

i got missed call from this number.. other my two friends also got a call from the same number too.. they pick up the call, but no body talk even my friends keep 'hello'. What a strange.. are they can link to our phone book, and copied all the phone number details, & make a call randomly over our phone books number????

Hi im from Mexico, this morning i received a call from this no.then answerd a guy with poor spanish then i tried to talk him in english but they dont understand well i explained that im not the line owner,im take a cousin position. I said she's a little busy and he only said, im going call back between 2 hrs. With poor engkish also.

First I had a missed call from this number. A few moments later it called again and I answered. The person who was calling me said he called from Singapore and whanted to offer me some kind of businessdeal. I hung up. On my phone it said the call was from UK. -

rather than calls from abroad presenting the callers true number the calls are routed through cheap, unregulated low grade carriers who modify the numbers, or use gateways to "refile" the call in an untraditional and technically incorrect way, it causes your operator huge revenue leakages, costs, poor customer experience, ultimately it pushes the price of your service up
if you want a better service tell people abroad who call you to use reliable recognised operators and not the crappy calling cards, VoIP and SIP services or OTT like Viber and WhatsApp for voice, they mostly route illegally or are unregulated, some even take your data like contact lists and store them in unsecured locations
