Scam Alert reported Alberto Stellpflug/ Sannosawa Group with the number ‎+81524564419 as Telemarketer

    10/23/14, 7:35 PM

I recently got a phone call from Alberto at "Sannosawa Group." He wanted to sell me oil futures via the "Nagoya Stock Exchange." I should access www.ngcx.org to check the "legitimacy" of "Sannosawa Group." I did this at www.ngcx.org/regulation and was provided with the following information: "This company was formed in Tokyo on 07/21/2006. This company is classified as a Non-Clearing Member Firm. Firm Liability: 1,069,150,000.00 JPY. Its fiscal year ends on March 31st. The company’s Trading License is valid until 07/14/2017." Of course, it would generate this "fake" information because the domains for the "Sannosawa Group" (www.sannosawagroup.com) as well as "Nagoya Commodity Exchange" (www.ngcx.org) were registered by proxy this year through the same person. There is no registered business by that name and it should come as no surprise that neither has any license by the Financial Services Agency or the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) in Japan. In fact, the caller could not even provide me with a phone number to call him back. It seems that he is always "busy" and on "the trading floor." He then mailed me instructions to wire money to an agent that acts on behalf of "Sannosawa Group". Upon further research, I discovered that the "business" is run out of the same boiler room that previously generated many other scams.

If you wire money to these fraudsters, you will never ever see it again.

A simple WHOIS search will alert you to the fraud. Just go on Whois.Com and check the domain owner for sannosawagroup.com Why would a financial services company register a domain by proxy and use anonymous phone numbers? This is a no brainer. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

Interesting documentary on how this sort of scam works: http://whambamthankyouscam.com/ These guys even use the same bank although they are based much further to the west.

Not to be pedantic here but this isn't "classic" boiler-room fraud. There are various types of trading scams. In this case there are no shares to be traded and the whole transaction is fraudulent. It's simply fraud.

In a boiler room scam, however, there are actual shares; it is just that the investor is overpaying for the shares and being used to manipulate the share price.

The term “boiler room” was used to describe an outbound call centre that sold dubious investments by phone and was used to create a market for a particular share by attracting buyers which in turn drove up the share price.

You can take it for granted that this gang is already operating under a new guise. They set up a new website, copy and paste the fake press releases with a new name and they're back in business virtually overnight.

Scam Scam Scam reported Sannosawa Group with the number ‎+81524564419 as Harassment calls

    10/24/14, 1:45 PM

Got a very dodgy phone call from a "broker" purporting to be from "Sannosawa Group." He tried to convince me that they were a reputable business because they were registered with a fictitious entity by the name of "Nagoya Commodity Exchange." This fictious entity as well as the "Sannosawa Group" were registered by proxy and provide no phone numbers on their websites. Of course, I would do business with a serious outfit like that. NOT!
