The person with the number +19518883614 is VERY untrustworthy and I have seen that he has contacted many people on this forum but has used the same quoted text but changed his address each time. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON.
We dealt with this by sending an email including a few of the comments from this forum and other sites. -

Like the other people on this list, I too received an email following advertising my car on Gumtree What's condition of vehicle final asking price and additional info need to pick up ASAP, which I replied on my work email address which is kinda lucky further email was the received from Keith Scott stating, - thanks for getting back to me I'm located at 96 burnholme avenue, York YO30NB United Kingdom, but presses entry out of town,, due to nature of my job, actually I want to purchase this for my in laws abroad, I will like to purchase at the listed price so that you will not sell to another person, I really have interest in buying it for my in laws and I am not within your premises to pay cash and PayPal is my only option which I think you accept or can you set up account I'll be very happy to go on with this transaction? Can u get the account ready - these people are unbelievable ...... BEWARE

After looking up the name and address on 192.com no such person exists. Then used Google to search the email address and all SCAM alerts come up.
I could've fallen victim to an £11K scam if it wasn't for people posting their experiences on the internet.

You have to be careful here. If you want to sell some things one GUMTREE then you also can be a potential victim to this plot. Usually it hits those who want to sell something big like a car. There would be a lot of money involved. I experienced it too and after looking it up online I found quiet the interesting things abou this number and email. So it goes like this:
You get a text from someone who is interested in your item on GUMTREE and Mr Smith wants you to mail him on one of the addresses:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
or something similar
The question which arises: Why not use the secure system on GUMTREE? The answer: he wants your e-mail address. But the fraud doesn't stop here. If you answer it then you'll get to hear a story that involves in-laws and presents, being out of town and thus the payment has to be done via Pay Pal. At this point anyone catches on that something doesn't add up. If you google the number then you see that it's from the USA, so why get a car from the UK? and such a payment via Pay Pal isn't recomended at all. There already have been cases like this where people were robbed out of their money.
So be careful and don't give away your email or anything else.

Hi everyone here. What Mrs Sarah said is very true though i may not know her. I experienced it first hand also. It was this organization called fidelity loan firm (f.l.f)that really helped me to pay my medical bills when i was in dare need of money because i am a widow. A friend of my also directed me to them. when i was about to do a major operation and i had no money at that time, they came to my rescue and in less than 48 hours, i got my loan. But to say the truth, i was nervous and scared at first because i have been scammed twice. But when i summoned up courage and follow their lending policies along with my friends advice, at the end i found myself smiling. If not for them, maybe i would have been dead by now. I have even taken another loan from them start my business after my recovery which i am also paying back now. My only advice now is that any body who is really in need of loan should contact them with their email via: [email protected] and get a loan from them. Thanks.
