Too may unsolicited nuisance calls. If you have the time do what I did and give them a taste of their own medicine as well as costing them some money - use 141 to hide your number and call their freephone no. 08000699303 repeatedly.
pbx replied 1/12/15, 4:26 PMI now know this firm to be Debtmasters Direct. They say they are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, so I shall be on to them about repeated unsolicited calls. -

I have been checking these types of numbers and have found out if you wait till the very end of message, there's the option to press 9 to stop the calls. Funtime may be over. Hoist by my own petard/:>| (rating has changed in light of this)

My mobile has rung 2 times a day for the last few days, when i answer it hangs up.
Phoned the 0800 number in this post they agreed the number was there's i requested they remove my number from their data base.i gave them my number they said they would remove it. -

I received a call about 20 minutes before I posted this. I have placed it in the category of debt collection but perhaps debt management would be a better description. In the recorded call, I was advised that I should leave an email requesting that I should take my name off their database if I so required. I decided not to do this as clearly there is no way of me knowing whether this method of contact is trustworthy. I did however google the company via a freephone number - the number of which I have forgotten but will add in a later comment - and informed them that if I received another call from the 0115 number, there would be consequences. We'll see what happens but I am getting fed up of the number of unsolicited calls from various organisations and I wondered if there was any kind of lobby group (or if one could be set up) that could petition Westminster to make this kind of call a criminal offence with stiff penalties for non-compliance. Fed up replied 5/7/14, 6:55 PMThe freephone number on their website - www.debtmastersdirect.co.uk is 0800 069 9303 Even though that number is supposed to be to speak to an adviser, I called that number - quoting the number from which I originally received the call - and insisted that they should remove my number (in this case they rang my mobile number)forthwith, or face the consequences.
