Mrs J Kaur replied 9/18/16, 5:29 PMTotal scam, I paid them £500 as they reviewed my case and promised me that I was due a refund in my business rates but it was all just a scam, my business was suffering anyway and they just made it worse, I was forced to close down because of people like this! -

Paid ID Consultants Ltd £450, after having been called advising that I was entitled to rate rebate from 2010 was dubious about this Company (gut feeling) but after a few conversation they managed to convince me otherwise and I parted with the monies. BIG MISTAKE - take monies and then leave you high and dry!!!! They think they have had the last laugh, but they haven't, when I have finished with them they are going to wish they had never met me!!!!
Annoyed replied 2/4/14, 1:19 PMThey did not have the common courtesy to tell me they were going into liquidation and to hand over the paperwork for all the "work" they had apparently done to enable me to carry on the appeal on my own. SIGH another £450 down the drain to a con!!! -

I began working for this company and began my work as a business rates advisor.
After being employed for a week, a letter was given to everyone stating the company was in a redundant state.
I am still awaiting my payment, it has been almost a month and now Leanne Campbell refuses to take calls from me.
When we rang businesses we was told to withhold the phone number, now I know why!

I was promised to get reduction in rates aand kept calling me to pay for work carried out to reduce my rates. I thought probably were genuine and paid £400. after few days got letter,says appeal has been unsuccessfull. I wish i had seen the reviews. This company needs to be reported to fraus office. -

i was taken in by idc, they said i had overpaid my business rates by £10,000 and they could get it back. i paid them £50.00 + vat.after 8 months i received a letter from them, stating i was unsucessful in my appeal.igot someone else to look into this matter, and i was imformed that idc had lodged an appeal but withdrew it 2 days later !!. i live close to bolton, and i have told them that i will be popping into the office to speak to someone face to face

So glad I've just looked on hear, did get them to check and they said yes due for refund, lucky I guess for me I didn't have the funds to pay the £400 fee, but did receive lots of calls and also a solicitors letter, all ignored and haven't heard from them since, thanks to everyone's comments think I've saved some money

Yes, they are business rates cold callers. told me that I have been overcharged on my business rates and am eligable for a rebate going back 5 years, but then wanted a large up front fee. dont trust them. they will tell you whatever they think you want to hear, in order to rip you off.

Called by these numerous times, I just answer and leave the phone on the side and let them talk to theirselves, these rates firms are scams, seems to be popular to set them up in Bolton for some strange reason.
I got done with a Bolton firm a few yrs ago and surprise surprise they Dissapeared, it's probably the same lot with a new name -

I stupidly signed up .now they will not return my calls .they are very convincing on the phone but once they have your money you won't hear from them again .i spoke to receptionist to try to get me thru to someone and I was told to put my request in writing .AVOID at all costs

These people phoned us on many occasions - telling us we had hundreds of pounds owed to us in overpaid rates. They assured us that if I signed form that we would only have to pay after we received a 'case No'....inferring that the issueing of a case number by the Valuation office would be proof that we would get a rebate. Of course it means nothing and we could have applied for free. Also my business partner was assured that we would only have to pay after we had seen from the Valuation office what the probable rebate would be. We have now received a letter from their solicitors, threatening legal action in 7 days as we have not settled their invoice. ( Who have the same names but the other way round to a bogus rate consultant company mentioned elsewhere on the internet....a coincidence maybe ?? )

Glad I didn't fall for it -

Had a call from these people about my business rates they said I should be exempt from paying rates and they could claim a refund for me and it would take just weeks. Thankfully I checked out the number and called the valuation office and they said all that I was told wasn't true and explained everything. Man on the phone at ID Consultants was so convincing too! If they call you put the phone down!

I keep getting calls from these people. They say they can dramatically reduce business rates and make all sorts of claims and promises then you get a contract that is nothing like what they promise on the phone and you will be left with a bill to pay of around £500 and no proof that they misled you. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Rates appeal consultants. Promise to reduce rates and seem very genuine, they are slick. Go to the valuation office agency and appeal yourself it's free. This company will charge u for doing very little and chances are your rates will stay the same or worse increase! Be careful out there!
