   I've had a few rather strange calls from this number to confirm that I am attending an appointment at the Royal Bolton Hospital. I don't get the call for every appointment though which is a little strange given that they are calling to confirm that I am attending an appointment, usually I get a reminder text message

   Lady with scotish accent asking for my date of birth at 745 pm about an appointment. I challenged her about not providing my private details to unknown people at that time. She said she would not disclose any further do I terminated the call. I later checked here and found the number is linked to the hospital. Not at all happy how the lady and nhs vonducted this cold call.

   I've read that this is supposed to be Bolton Royal Hospital, not known to be one of there's that has ever called me. If it's about an appointment, where's the usual text????

   It's Bolton Hospital, (Lancashire, England). They hang up the call if they can't speak to somebody over the telephone - rather than leave a message - due to the personal/privacy nature of health-related calls.
