   I phoned them back after they called my mobile & rang-off. They called themselves Hothouse Renewables. They said they never call without an appointment so i asked why they cold-called my mobile. They said they'd look into it. What BS.

   This number rang and started to go through the usual.. could I talk to the householder... at this point I asked them to take the number off their list as I live in sheltered accommodation. They said sorry and yes they would - GOT ANOTHER CALL TODAY... AAAGGGHHH

    Just had a call asking to speak to the 'homeowner'. Yes I am the homeowner but as I'm ex-Directory if they had my number they should know my name!! After ascertaining it was a Josh from Hothouse Energy I hung up on them.

    Read the comments after 'googling' this number 01254686360 which was left on my phone (1471) no message left on my 1571.. So thanks to the comments previously left I will not be answering it or if I do I will be ready with subsequent replies... Thanks to previous "posters" on this site :-)

    my answer machine kindly answered. just background noise recorded. reported to ofcom as silent call.

    My answer phone picked up but like you just background noise. Got the number by 1471. didn`t ring back. If it`s genuine then they will no doubt ring again. Otherwise I will just log off.

    I have just put the phone down on the caller using this number .His opening remark is "can I speak to the home owner"-- sussed out the Lancashire accent immediately so not surprised it originated in Blackburn...where I know no one. Pain in the butt!
