I received a call from this number this morning which I listened to the whole of the outgoing message and then the caller hung up. Having a Panasonic phone I called it Pest and barred it. 6 hours later they phoned again to pay to listen to the engaged tone and without disturbing me further. I have read most of the submissions made to this site and I am grateful for your research and contributions. I believe that until we make them pay for every call they make and give them no answer they will not stop. I set the number of rings to two and this allows my phone with talking caller id to tell me all I need to know without me doing anything. My caller list of the last 50 numbers called used only cover the previous 12 days until I did this. I it now covers more than 40 days and it is increasing.

Polite caller, told me it was ipsos and offered independent number to call for corroboration, also told I did not have to answer all the questions. Once I gave my postcode, gender and age was told that the group I was in was fully covered and no further input was required. A fairly innoccuous call from a pleasant woman.

I received a call from this number and the polite Scots woman said she was calling from Ipsos Mori. I asked her where she got my phone number from and she said it wasn't from a databank but my number was generated at random by a computer. I told her that I was unwilling to answer any questions or give info about myself as I think Polls are often used in a slanted way to back up the views of the client paying for the survey, Polls have also been known to be widely inaccurate I believe in part because people are fed up of being cold called and will sometimes play along and give untrue answers as a deliberate ploy to get back at having their evening interrupted by silly phone calls. Answering the question for a phone survey will make it more likely that I will be labelled a willing subject and end up getting more calls or my number sold on to other companies. STOP COLD CALLING !

They are conducting a survey for post graduate university courses, and all university's are obligated to give all their students details to this company. It should be made illegal, but only the government can stop it, as they gave it the authority to get the details and harasse students. I'm at the OU, and have received emails, text messages and now phone calls.

100% a scam.
The caller was a very poor speaker of English who went through a list of questions as though it was some manner of survey - then in order to 'confirm my thank you gift' for taking part in the survey the caller asked me to visit a website and download software called Teamviewer - which is software they can use to remote control your computer. -

I'd suggest not doing the survey. The reason being they will sell your number and you'll get lots of annoying calls. If you do the survey, think before you give them information. Some questions ask for things you don't want to be sharing. If they hadn't sold my number, I'd be ok with it as these surveys are quite important. But they did, and they want to ask more, and I'm also getting several calls a day from other groups. Never again. But it's an honest company (if they are who they say) and the employees are pleasant.

Ipsos MORI and a genuine and safe phone number. Called last night but I declined to answer their questions. I know Isos MORI but, until I checked the number online, I didn't know if it was a scammer phishing for info or genuine.
I am aware that MORI was a trusted and much quoted independent pollster carrying out surveys for government departments since the late 1940's and since the merger with Ipsos, also carry out surveys for other organisations. I am surprised that so few people nowadays know of Ipsos MORI.
Overall, this number is genuine and provided the caller isn't a scammer that has spoofed this number (you can usually tell by the accent and quality of the line) the questions are okay to answer - provided you want to.
Some interesting posts on this feed - apart from the '9' scam comments. So totally wrong!! -

Called at 6pm on a Saturday night. I was as polite as I could be, but do these people have any social skills at all? I cannot block on my Phone but as they have just called at a similar time. A few nights later, I am just going to assume it's them and ignore any calls at that time.

It is claimed these numbers are generated at random which I do not believe since I received a call on 06/09/21, 09/09/21, 11/09/21, 17/09/21, 18/09/21, 20/09/21, 21/09/21, and 29/09/21.
OK, they may be calling again because there was no reply, or I may have given permission for them to call because I thought the survey was in respect one interest I have but that would not explain 8 calls in 3 weeks!
I could not participate in any of these surveys because I was not the an ethnic, not the correct age or because the survey was in respect of those with no academic qualifications.
One must question if this survey, like so many today, is only to tell us what a bad life the BAME have, and/or why Britain must be filled up to the gunnels with migrants! -

The caller was so rude. I put the phone down and they just kept calling back. I said stop calling me and then he had a go at me for my attitude. He was really out of line and it verged on harassment. I will no longer trust anything Ipsos Mori does. The quality of their research must be terrible if this is how it's obtained. It was pathetic. Not a company to be trusted.
