This number is phoning on a daily basis since 12th April. When answered, they cut the call immediately. Am ex directory and registered with TPS.
Am getting to the point where I will be getting the police involved to try and stop these calls. -

Keeps calling every day when answered the caller does not say hello or anything Asian/Indian caller who just says my husbands name very rudely & when I ask who's calling I couldn't understand so I asked politely sorry could you reapeat them to which the caller shouted at the top of there voice rudely lawyers uk to which I told them never to call again & for the caller to say I will ring back another time ... Not only rude abrupt & shouting these calls are supposedly for industrial hearing loss to which my husband does not suffer but try telling them that & they still keep calling .. I'm registered with TPS & still get these unsolicited calls even after they are told we are not interested ... It's harassment !

Lawyers UK, who immediately tell you that they are not lawyers when you call them, tell me that they call from lists that were supplied to them by Phruite Ltd, Barnby House, Barnby Gate, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG24 1PZ 0844 4142741. Phruite have a call diversion scheme in operation, so it is difficult to talk to anyone who works there, but ironically their webpage says that they will not share details with third parties - one rule for businesses, another for the general public!
Lawyers UK were 'UNABLE' to give me their own business address or email contact details. On that basis they do not seem, to me, to be particularly transparent in their dealings with people.
They called to ask me about hearing loss. I wonder, if I did have hearing loss, would the telephone be the an effective tool to use? -

Ex directory and TPS. They said given my details by an insurance company. I haven't made any insurance claims in over 20 years, but did enquire about health insurance recently. They are based in UK (near Preston I was told) and did not withhold their number, which of course is Manchester. Man was very pleasant and agreed to put my number on their "internal TPS".

Unsolicited caller claiming to be from 'Lawyers UK' asking for my wife by name.
We are ex-directory and TPS. My wife is not the account holder on any bill except BT. That appears to be where all our frequent unsolicited sales calls originate, I suspect via BT's Indian call centre associates. -

Had 6 calls in last 4 days. Missed 4. Picked up 2. When picked up, seemed to either cut off or hang up. Concerned if it was some kind of reverse charge or call back scam. Dont recognise number and no idea who it is or what they want, but when they dont identify themselves it makes me more suspicious.

I was asked if I live in an industrial or noisy area that had affected my hearing. My reply.... " sorry I can't hear you!" and then put the phone down on them!
Not the first call I've had from this number. Another recent one was about playing the football pools! It's getting to the point that if I answer the phone and hear an Asian/Indian accent I just put the phone down!
