Surely it can't be possible to turn an incoming call to an outgoing one, and therefore being charged for it, by pressing a key - can it ?

Got home to find a recorded message the same as George (above) has reported. Talk of £1000 and pension etc and press 5 or 9. I did not press anything and just deleted the message.

I just had a call from this number. After making the person repeat their name. I informed them that they are through to my local Police station, and that I am det sergeant... And suddenly the phone got cut off, extremely quickly... I wonder why that was?...LMFAO

Whoa! Careful saying you are a police officer as u can get done for it. If you say you are a police station as well that makes it worse. Impersonation is a criminal offence. Never press 5 following any message. Its the same as accepting a reverse charge call. They can charge what they want on the basis they are just selling u information u asked for. I have heard of people getting bills for £15 per minute. Better off buying a lottery ticket. Lol.

Got the same type of call - a recorded message Talking about a grand and Pensions and that I'm under 60 - Wrong .... Press 5 or 9 - I chose to do neither. It has to be some kind of marketing call. Avoid. They'll probably be trying to get some part of your pension pot for themselves. I'm on the TPS so shouldn't be getting this type of call.

I find TPS to be a complete waste of time. Keep getting these pre-recorded calls and market survey calls. Especially in the late evening. So annoying. Thank god BT don't charge for TPS, otherwise I'd be suing them for breach of contract.

Got a message today says that because im under 60 I am entitled to £1000 because of private pension. Then they wante me to press 5 or 9. But im sure that this is a scam, im not under 60! Dont belive them!
