Just tell any ppi caller you have been made bankrupt recently. It's not worth anyone declared bankrupt to claim ppi cause any money won goes directly to creditors and " ppi team " won't get a penny. Number removed instantly. Simple but effective. Your welcome.

Asked if my name was correct, told me that companies has taken money from the public and they wanted me to reclaim it, I said "You know what, I want you to delete my information from your database", he replied "whys that then?" to which I replied, "Because I don't want my information kept on your system" and he replied "You won't get your money back then *sniggering/laughing*" and then hung up before I could reply to his comment.. very rude and unprofessional

Marcus called me nonstop all day while I was at work, I finally snapped and told him where to go. Then he actually threatened me!! He said “don’t talk to me like that mate, you’re lucky you’re not in Manchester ... if you want to do something then you get your boys and I will get my boys and we will have it!”
I am a professional person in his 50`s not a thug, I don’t know how they got my number and surely I have the right not to be threatened while going about my lawful business!
There must be something that can be done to stop this kind of abuse of information and threatening behaviour?

The guy "Adam" called after I clicked yes to an unknown call that I have been receiving for the past few months on my phone.He was really rude when I asked him to remove my number from their list and he hang up the phone to me.Those guys are such a scam and sooo rude!Isn't there anyone that can stop them calling people really????

Someone called me from this number, was so rude, and aggressive, called me a liar, tried to pressure me into ppi, could hear background noise, and was saying why are you and your friends laughing at me!!! When I said I don't know who you even are, she accused me of not listening.....she was the rudest person I've ever spoken to!!!

Said they were from 'The PPI Team' and when I asked from which organisation they said that didn't matter. I said I wasn't interested they persisted getting more and more aggressive. I then asked them to remove my number from their system and the caller responded with "how stupid are you? You can f**k off" before hanging up.

By the way, thats one of the company directors, I'm sure he would love to have information sent to him about PPI -

Hi,
I have to cold calling as part of my own job, so I always try to be polite and normally politely decline when cold callers ring me and wish them a nice day. This cold caller however, was atrocious - insistent that I claim PPI, even though I had previously been persuaded by a company to claim (which I did), only to be told no PPI was ever charged and for me to have completely wasted my time. This lady was insistent that I could now claim because of the government's recent change in legislation (which I explained did not apply to me as no PPI was ever charged) - she kept pushing me to get a free pack and I said I did not want to waste my time again - eventually she just rudely hung up! For piece of mind I checked with another firm if I was eligible because of government changes and was told that I wasn't and had I applied, my time would have again been completely wasted.
I was so incensed I complained to the company in question, but they have not even replied.
Cold calling doesn't have to be like this - but companies like this give everyone that does cold calling a bad reputation -

Asked me to confirm details which I wasnt willing to do and then tried to sell me the old ppi speech said I wasnt interested and then hung up. Caller then decided to keep phoning me back to which I ignored 6 times I then added the number to autoblock and it was another 14 times. ignore this caller.

You can bl;ock calls like these if you have an android or i phone....go to your calls list and hold down the number you wish to block.....you will be given an option to, mute, delete or block. choose block and they won't be able to call you again.

received a missed call from 016196224999 this morning on my mobile. did not answer as i did not recognise the number on my contacts or expecting any such calls from anyone.
5 mins later they called back from same number as a cold call. this i answered the call and it was a guy from a ppi company. he insisted that i confirm and give him my details. wanted my address etc to complete his data fact file, as i could get lots of money back. i replied how he got this number. he responded, that is not important but what it is, i am entitled to lots of money if i complete my details with him over the phone and confirm who i am to match the name he has so that he is speaking to right person. this went on well over 5 mins. he became very frustrated as i strung him along and did not confirm any of my details i.e. name or even the number he was ringing.
in response to above, before he hanged up, i knew that this was a scam, nuisance and one of harassment nature which is very worrying with hindsight, as he kept on insisting, so i told him not to call this number again and omit it permanently from his system, as he is breaking the law. if he persists then he will be reported to the authorities! at which point he abruptly hang up with abusive unpleasant swear words to me. -

I usually don't answer numbers I don't know (as I get a lot), but I felt like answering this time. A bloke with a northern accent asked for 'Mr Chin'. I told him I don't know that name (as it's not my name and I know no one of that name.) The man on the phone then asked: "Are you hiding him?"
I told him no and I don't know that person and then I hung up.
I've had my mobile number since I was a young teenager (10+ years). It is the only number I've ever had, so unsure why this incorrect name is under my details.
The man on the other end of the phone was rude and didn't identify himself or his purpose at all.

I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, but look them up on the Internet. Having read other people's comments I'm pleased I didn't answer. Thank you all for your comments. They really helped.
