My mother has been plagued with calls from this number.
I did a little investigating and according to one site, this number is associated with a Manchester based company called Metronet (uk) Ltd. This is the page that I found this information on:

This is their contact number: 0161 822 2580
I contacted them and told them they were associated with the number 0161 947 0147and that we had been receiving nuisance calls from this number. The person I spoke to had no idea what I was on about. It may well be that one of their clients is responsible as they are a b2b company that creates internet networking and marketing solutions. The following link is to their homepage, which immediately flagged up suspicions when you look to see what kind of business they are involved in:

I asked the person I spoke to in sales at Metronet, if they were responsible in any way for the calls, as there is an established association between their business and the number we are all receiving nuisance calls from. I also stated that I would be bringing the authorities in to deal with this issue. He told me he would get on to their technical department to find out more.
That is the current state of affairs but I would suggest that if more people hassle Metronet, then the sooner we can stop these jokers who are responsible for making the calls. -

I got a phone call from this number, as I did the '1471' to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn't give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!
