Rang and asked me my energy supplier he said he was calling from energy helpline l told him i was quite happy with them 2 days later my supplier cancelled my account and then the energy company green star thanked me for joining them at £670 per year more i cancelled them i would love to meet the scammer face to face .

10-20 calls a day from this number or they use alternative numbers using ID Spoofing to make me think its a local call. Getting me down now, have reported and asked them hundreds of times to stop, but still going on daily

I am sick to death of these calls which are, technically, harrassment as opt out messages and requests are ignored. If anyone replies to my hello I now speak only in Arabic so they hang up. There calls are forcing me to ignore my phone and only answer messages left.

I've had two calls today to my mobile, one from an 0845 number, and one from this one. Both went to answerphone and left a blank message with background call centre noises (who does that? If you go to answerphone - leave a message!). Turns out it's the same bloody company for both calls. I've opted out of marketing calls so thought they were important calls.

They got my number from an energy saving scheme that is being promoted by my council (Sheffield) and I regretted providing my number as soon as. I've had two calls today - the first one I missed and the second one I answered. He told me that I'd recently been in touch with the Energy Saving Helpline and then told me he could save me money on landline phones and broadband. I replied that I didn't have them and he said sorry and thank you. I only provided my mobile number as I don't get cold calls on my landline and thought best not to give my landline number out.

I believe this actually IS energyhelpline.com, as I'd almost finished filling out an energy provider switch form with them but not actually submitted it. Instead I shut the window down as I decided to use Money Supermarket instead.
About 5 minutes after I shut down the energyhelpline page this number rang me. That suggests that even if you don't actually press 'Send', they can still somehow get your phone number from the phone number field on the electronic form. I don't think they had my number before then. -

Do not give any answer to them if they ask for you. This caller wanted to talk to me and would not give me any information about what she wanted me for. If they were calling in my interest they would have said what they wanted and why they were calling.
She said I had used them before NEVER HAVE and that I said they could call me with offers NEVER DID.

An Asian sounding male has been ringing my number several times each day and night for 3 weeks this year. Our telephone number is ex-directory and I have been with the TPS for 4 yrs and can say that during that time I have had more of these calls than before I registered!! I tell callers I'm on the TPS register and that they are acting illegally by calling me but the general response is "You must have given your number to someone online recently" Of course I have and will continue to do so as there is no choice with certain companies I always indicate no mail & no phone correspondance in the appropriate boxes (were given). At the present time we are not answering our phone to anyone who does not leave a message - why do I bother having a landline? I am getting these nuisance calls on my mobile phone also but no one but family and friends are ever given that number so how do these unscrupilous companies get hold of them?

I get this number calling me several times a day and it is usually a cold call so I don't answer. They just won't give up so I have reported them via Ofcom for being cold callers here:

I urge others to do the same please, to get something done. I've had responses to both complaints via email to acknowledge my complaint. Ofcom don't look at it case by case but I assume compile complaints and if they get so many then act. TPS say they will make sure my number is not used by the company again. Totally fed up with these calls. When this number is put into google one response says you are charged just for answering! I hope this is not the case and think its high time this sort of scam was stopped it seems TPS is no use at all .

as asian sounding salesman called a few times as i recognised the number saying he was from from the Energy helpine.com giving me price comparisons which he could have just got from the energy helpine website. after my agreeing that the company he suggested was cheaper and to go ahead with a switch over i was a bit cautious after he asked me to set up an online account and asked for my e mail and to make a password. it could all be genuine but i hung up after he asked for my bank sort code and account number. ive been stung before and was advised by my bank to never give out information over the phone, if he is genuine they should know this too .

We were concerned to read about the matters mentioned in the above posts and would like to make an official statement that we hope helps to answer some of the questions raised by the posters above.
1, Regarding TPS calls, at Energyhelpline we gather data from different resources, all of the data we use is what we call “Permission data” this means the number was given as an “opt-in” for more information on a website or survey. We have had a few instances in the past with people that have forgot or not realised they have ticked a box that gives us permission to call. Regardless of this, if you mention you are TPS registered when one of our advisors call, the advisor should politely terminate the call if you do not want to continue.
2, If you do not wish to be called again please tell the advisor so and ask to be put onto our do not call list alternatively you can phone our free phone customer service number on 0800 6343868 or email [email protected] and ask to be taken off the list (if emailing please don’t forget to include the number that needs to be taken off the list). Please be aware that just hanging up may possibly generate another call in the future.
3, The aim of Energyhelpline is to provide customers with a valuable service to save customers money, if in any way you are not satisfied with the service you receive then please contact us by either of the above methods, ideally letting us know the name of the agent and the approximate time and date of the call so we can look into the matter.
At Energyhelpline we pride ourselves on the professionalism of our staff and the posts above do highlight that there are some areas where further training is needed and we can assure you that training has already started taking place.

I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???
