I get calls from this number just about every day. I have recently had surgery and it is an effort for me to get to the phone only to get this recorded message, p'ssed off.
Lola replied 1/8/16, 9:26 AMWe got a lot of nuisance calls including this one. We got the bt guardian phone with caller display and its fantastic! It screens calls from numbers that aren't programmed in your phone book. The nuisance number will still show up as a missed call but unless they anounce who they are the phone doesnt ring. It allows you to block numbers and also save your friends and family etc. It was under £50 and Worth every penny. We should have bought one years ago. It's also easy to use -

Received call from this number claiming to be from one of those no win no fee places, said theyd been told id had a car accident in the past 2-3 years which wasn't my fault. When i confirmed i hadn't been, they hung up. Called my iphone so was able to just block the number

Recorded message received every week about three times/week. Recorded message starts "The National Data base ...and goes on about home energy improvements that I have not taken up. The TPS can do nothing about recorded messages and the ICO will take complaints but do they have any teeth to stop this nuisance?

An unsolicited recorded message about Green Deal energy assessments, containing at least two untrue/misleading statements. Although the calling number has changed, the message is identical to the ones which I've been harassed with at least twice per week for several months (despite being registered with TPS). Lodge an official complaint with the ICO to get these telepests shut down and fined!

We get multiple calls a day from this number, as we work nightshift it is extremely annoying to be woke up by this caller. I had enough today and pressed 2 to go through with the "organise a booking for your new boiler" as they don't give you any other option. Got put through to a woman who sounded like she was outside
Her: "Can I ask how old your boiler is"
Me: "Can I ask that you stop calling me, we get too many calls from you"
Her: "WELL STOP PRESSING 2 THEN"
and she hung up...
looks like there is no way to stop these calls

This is a "replacement boiler" call. What I do, for a bit fun, is to press No.2 to be put through to a representative and string them along. In this case you can do it quite easily for several minutes before you inform them that your hearing is not so good and you thought they were looking to replace (free of charge) the "BROILER" (as in a young chicken) that you had for dinner recently.
