I've had more than 15 calls from this no. In the last week. When I first answered it they said it was from my bank, they got the correct bank but Iwas ssuspicious as they asked for mothers maiden name which usually isnt asked. I then had the phone put down on me!!!! The last but one call fom the same no said they were from Royal sun Alliance, Whats going on? This is a worry and a nuisance. How many people have given out details? Please be aware, this is not a ligit company.

Basically they are calling anyone to see if you have the ability to claim PPI.
PPI has been a hot topic over the last few years and firms are trying to cash in on those unfortunate enough to have paid for it.
I missed the call and rang the number back, A young man answered and wanted me to first confirm my post code and account number. (I didnt)
I asked him what company was calling me and he replied with the Reactiv Media (after a few misdirections).
I then searched the company on my computer, while on the call and found out it was primarily about getting PPI claims etc. I politely told to man on the phone what I was looking at and he he confirmed that that was one of their services.
I ended the call by saying that I hadn't taken out any loans during the time period he mentions or finance. He thanked me for my time and I wished him good-day. (I think he said he was going to write a note on my file saying that I don't need to be called, but I didn't catch exactly what he said)
Remember the callers are just trying to make a living. Most of the time they don't want to offend or argue. -

Missed a call from this number. No voice mail. Based on all reviews here I have a strong suspicion that these are scammers who buy yourdata or get it some other way from comparison websites. Took motorbike insurance last week - the only thing I filled in my details in the beginning of the year. Very sad - will block these guys.

Just got a call now to my phone that is SUPPOSED to be TPS excluded and ex directory (I will be having words with talktalk in a minute !!) they asked for my wife by name then went into some spiel about PPi claims. Scamming scum.

Said didn't have a loan - asked if I recalled having a loan with Black Horse - said never had a car loan or recent loan - they just hung up

Called them back using a land line and withheld my number and asked who they were and where they were: Consumer Helpline, in Elland, UK. I tried to waste their time a little, but they soon hung up...

Just got a call 5 mins ago from this co telling me am I such a person. Who wants to know I said who are you? Can give that info they said but we ate calling about your PPI and loan if has been missold to you. Really I said I don't have any loans put me thru to your supervisor. So Im hold for 30 secs, speak to girl who is supp to be manager. By voice she is probably no more than 22. What do you want? She said we have info from 3rd party you are entitled to a PPI refund. Really I said what source is that? Cant tell u Im afraid unless you can give us some details and answer some questions. Ok I said if I give you details then you give me your personal address and phone number. Cant do that she said against data protection. Exactly I said. ditto. I ain't giving you any details. The only details I can give to you are 2 word %%%% off. And don't ever call me again I said. Call ended quite quickly there and then! Honestly do these kids who take these jobs have a brain between their ears or fresh air! They need to get a life and do something better with it than do fake marketing PPI claim calls.

Asked me to confirm I was Miss .... I'm a Mrs and only company that has me down as a Miss is the local council on my Council Tax so no prizes for guessing how they got my details. Said they were a Specialist Team from the Consumer Helpline and as I had overpaid on a loan I was due a large refund. They asked questions that they ought to have known the answer to if they were genuine and when challenged said they had to check for Data Protection purposes. Didn't like it when I said I thought it was all a scam

I answered a call from this number today. The caller knew my first name and told me I was due a refund for an overpayment of a loan. I don't borrow so I knew it was a scam. I said I was not interested thank you, and hung up. The number has been added to my ever lengthening list of blocked senders.

I have just received a call from this number, they knew my name and address. An English female said they were a financial advisory service offering advice on PPI refund I was due prior to 2007. I asked them to name the companies and she named two I've never heard of. She asked for my DOB to confirm my identity- I refused saying I didn't know who she was and she made excuses and hung up. Definitely untrustworthy phishing scam type of call which is worrying how they got my name ,address and mobile number.

This is not the first time they have rung but I don't ring back unless I know the number. However, this time when I answered a woman spoke to me (previously heard background office noise but no one spoke). Told me I had overpaid on a bank loan and they could help me get the money back so long as I hadn't already made a claim. Very suspicious because they didn't use my first name which professionals like banks, doctors, etc do buy my 'friends and family' name. Not has a bank lone in over 11 years but seemed like a fishing trip for info. Said no thanks and hung up.

Called me, hung up, I called back, a woman answered and said hello, I asked who they were, they hung up, I called straight back and a man answered wanting my details for a PPI claim. I refused to give any details and hung up.
