   Called me on mobile even though number is listed on TPS - I interrupted his sales pitch around the point he explained they were a stock broking investment firm - I explained very bluntly that I was NOT interested, and that my number is on the TPS list - if you get a call from them, tell them they should be washing their data pursuant to the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003

   Cold called me to tell me about GEC Investments. When I politely declined, the caller, Matt, said "Whatever!" and hung up.

   GEC investments -- what's wrong here ... 1) cold calling with investment opportunities, 2) ignoring TPS list to do it, 3) saying that they are not telesales or marketing, but that they are promoting the services they offer -- the very definition of a telemarketer, 4) asking me about my existing investments, 5) Claiming that companies that cold call (illegally) you with investment opportunities and advice (probably illegal too) are the reputable ones that you SHOULD listen to.

   Supposedly investments for GEC.
   Obviously a scam.
   Likely to be from 'British Airways' phishing scam - too much of a coincidence.
