this was a branch of a fridge delivery company. they used this number to arange a time and run me through a few things

Purchased a fridge freezer online form AO on behalf of my Mother - the following morning this company called my mum asking for her card details...clearly trying to sell her warranty but didn't explain it to her. The call left her extremely worried that it was some kind of scam. Lucky mum was on the button and didn't give her card details, but the guy was quite pushy telling her he'd wait while she went to get her card.

Only trustworthy in that it is a genuine number. However, after explaining the details of my delivery, the caller went into the extended warranty spiel.
In these sort of circumstances NEVER go for it, even if it sounds like a good deal and there's nothing to pay up front. Take time to decide - you can almost always get a better deal elsewhere. -

Calling to confirm the delivery but tried to get into Domestic and General insurance cover without outright stating first off to ask if Insurance is required. Very polite and confirmed that I would NOT be signed up to an insurance plan. All the delivery bits were explained well, they're just doing a job, they should improve the initial wording a bit, probably why so many people are getting irate.

AO.com are one of not the cheapest supplier of domestic electrical goods. there is a reason for that. Two weeks after delivery I am still getting calls (even though I told them no) to try and sell you an extended warranty policy.... sent messages back basically tell them to get lost and stop calling... and yet the continue to call.

AO ringing to confirm delivery, able to change date to earlier convenient date. Had enough of my details to see that I never buy extended warranty so didn't try to flog me any. Friendly, courteous and helpful; would have given 1 score but the chap was quite slick and so I thought again after call to check with websites like these to make sure that it was genuine!

Not yet had the item delivered and AO is already using my number for marketing calls on the pretence that they're letting me know that my item is on it's way. I know that from this mornings text. Last time I'll be buying anything from them.

This was AO.com calling to confirm my delivery, I didn't take the call but called back after finding this site. They knew who I was from caller ID making the whole process very smooth.
I was offered warranty/repair uplift as part of the call but I think that is understandable. I politely declined and we moved on to other details - no pushy sales or anything.
Very pleased, would definitely recommend AO.com for their service. -

Called seemingly to confirm delivery details and then discussed the extended warranty as though it was free and asked me to confirm bank details. I was uncomfortable doing so over the phone so he provided lots more info about me but I then said I'd prefer to at least discuss with my partner before signing up: cue the hard sell! I maintained I will discuss it and can can call back only for him to get exasperated and put the phone down on me. Quite rude!

Like others have said, AO.com trying to sell extra coverage for the appliance. I'd seen here that's what they were doing but answered in the end as I was worried they might not deliver it if I didn't, since people had said they asked delivery details. In the end they just repeated what the website had said already regarding the delivery, and then pushed quite hard on the extra coverage, which I really didn't want - I bought from AO.com to save money, not spend extra! The delivery info just seems like an excuse to sell the insurance, I would just ignore the calls in future.

Placed order with AO for a new fridge freezer, this number was calling within ten minutes of placing it.
It would be nice to receive the product first!
Didn't answer it, never answer anything from anyone I don't recognise or unknowns. If its that important people WILL leave a message, number now blocked based on the comments on here from others
