I answered, the guy introduced himself, spoke a few words and then hung up! I guess he's so used to people telling him they're not interested that he doesn't even wait for them to say it any more - SO WHY RING IN THE FIRST PLACE!
TPS is useless, and people like this should be strung up by their unmentionables! -

Called at 8.40 on a Wednesday evening and woke the kids up. Only answered as my inlaws only use this number. She said it was a survey but when I said I was not interested and was signed up to the TPS service she said it didn't matter as she wasn't selling anything and it was just a survey. It's still an unsolicited call at an unsociable time of night for most people. Asked not to be contacted again.

During survey, asked for my child's name,I asked why would they need a name, I told them I don't want to continue either survey, they phoned the next night as the survey doesn't count unless completed, I have told them no to call again. I don't think it is appropriate for someone to phone and ask you child's name ,age,sex and other questions.

I notice comments about DWP and survey. I was emailed by a company doing a customer satisfaction survey for DWP relating to recent benefits claims. Would appear they could be legit.

I see these pests have caused aggravation to a large number of people. With the start of 2017 I found the numerous nuisance calls I was getting had stopped. What a relief! Then I found someone had called while I was out. It was a withheld number so I was suspicious. Next morning I found this number had called. I did not recognise it so checked, to find my suspicions justified. Like others, I want to see effective action against such crooks. It seems this lot have been getting away with it for nearly three years.

I often rush to answer phone, only to find stranger asking me to do a telephone survey!
Not in good health, and thorough unkind of these people.
This should be stopped.
Opted out of 'junk calls' again and again - to no avail.
Very angry. -

1845 hrs 12 Aug 2016. Call from this number, male caller, said he was from TNS. Wanted to ask me survey questions on 'several topics'. I'm on TPS and ex-directory!! I hung up.

If they'd just leave an answerphone message to say who the hell they are and why they're calling there'd be less aggravation. I get so many junk callers that if it's an unfamiliar number I let it go to answerphone - if they can't be bothered to leave a message, they don't get a reply, simple as that. this is all down, I think, to doing online surveys for reputable companies that DO pay actual money for them; now and again they say they'll follow through by phone. fine if they then pay more for my time spent on the phone: if not, they can go and get stuffed. I'm not doing it for free!

Explain to the caller that you aren't get paid for yakking on the phone, and that if they weren't getting paid for yakking to you on the phone they wouldn't be calling you, so unless they going to pay you for your time and your phone line rental, then they can go.............

Never actually answered a call from them but saw the negative comments so blocked them months ago but they still keep trying to call (the phone doesn't ring, it just registers in my caller list when a blocked no has tried) Calling at random nuisance times like late evening or weekends.

Haven't had a single call to my landline for many months now and then it rings. TNS on the other end. Considering my number is ex-directory and I only get the odd rare call from my line provider, I never give the number out to anybody. The amazing thing is that TNS somehow know my number and yet I don't. This clearly shows that they are using the "illegal" random number dialing (RND) software as they could have never have obtained my number through any legal means. I would never trust TNS ever as they are legitimate "crooks" that are registered with the MRS and yet flout all the rules and work barely within law. They may have found a grey area in TPS but can still be committing a criminal offense as they are "harassing" people and using illegal means to obtain numbers.

Phones about 3 times a day, so it can't be random.
It bothers me, because I think it might be important, I have elderly parents.

I've had several calls from this number. They never leave a message and its always dead when you pick up. Its becoming more and more annoying. Like others I am on TPS.
What happened with the fine for these type of callers?
