Received a call today claiming that from my national insurance records they believed I had worked in engineering for the last four years, when I asked how they had got my N.I. Record he would not say. The caller had a Birmingham accent but claimed he was calling from Derby. Told him where to go!

Was told that we had worked in industry for which we were entitled to benefits quite a polite person.to end the call I said I would need to consider what they told me. Upon reflection I have blocke this number as they appear to want too much info .suggest you don't answer this number unless you want to buy a hearing aid

Chap, with a very broad Lancashire accent, insisted I had worked in industry in the 1970s. When I said I had never worked in industry he would not believe me, and insisted I had as it said so on his data base. I have never worked in this field, but more fool me for even answering the phone when I did not know who the caller was!
