I received a call from Chase Alexander from telephone number 07509701173. The guy had a Liverpool accent and stated I had had a road traffic road which is incorrect. They rang me a couple of times today. I could also hear laughing in the background, not professional and a very bad line. It's clearly a scam.

i dont generally answer unknown numbers on my mobile due to spam calls and tried to redial this from a land line however an automated voice tells me it is not in operation. go figure.
Jumbo replied 8/23/12, 2:45 PM02476996886 AVOID - Junk - cold call - you have won a holiday type stuff. The voice you hear when you call back has been set up by the "company" locally from a standard automated answering machine, the number is in service they have just set up the machine to not accept incoming calls and divert straight to that message. -

Hi I worked for this company. They buy your details from either the blackmarket or datasets where you have opted in. So if you bought something somewhere online that required your number chances are you inadvertently opted in.
They use a network of local numbers to seem reputable. The liverpool branch specialises in road traffic accident. They'll fish about for details asking you that they were informed a car accident was reported by your household within the last 2.5-3 years. That's just the time frame for personal injury claims. They have no clue who they are calling (unless your name came with a number).
Some of the datasets they buy are so old that your current number may have been recycled and belonged to someone else. Although there are people who rely on this company for their wage, it's minimum wage and I'm sure they can find somewhere else. Horrible work culture - they make you dress smart to cold call unsuspectinf people. Don't give these chancers the time of day and tell them you'll report them to the claims management regulator if they ever call you again. That will stop them. -

These people called on my girlfriends phone asking for me. It came up as a local number but was (again) a Liverpudlian accent. They told me that I had recently had an accident, which was nonsense. When I told the guy to bugger off (which isn't good, I know but I was very frustrated) he replied with a torrent of abuse.

Hello I have read all the above comments and I would just like to be clear. There are two companies who go by the name Chase Alexander. One Liverpool & one Manchester. We in Liverpool do not call re PPI although this has helped the country, the people of the UK etc. We call re RTA. I understand some of your frustrations however if you do give your number and do not wish to be called back we immediately take you off our system. Without the number we are unable to do anything.
I would like to reassure everyone that we are not a scam company in fact the opposite, however we employ honest hard working staff, Who legitimately earn their wage instead of being on the dole claiming YOUR money. We do offer a service and we are respectful that people may not want to use it however many do and are very very happy with what we do and recommend us to friends. Kind Regards KirstyMoomoo replied 10/16/15, 7:51 AMYou are a complete scam of a company who have paid for our details. You have sunk to new lows by also buying local numbers to cold call people from so it appears you are a trusted locally based organisation.
Why would I advise no one to trust you? Because you start by hiding where you are based and then make out you have information of a road traffic accident which never even happened. Lying, creating scampers looking to make money off of the poor person who falls for their scam. I'm sure socal trusted solicitor could help with any legal claims far more professionally and without taking half as much money off you. AVOID.Claudia replied 7/13/16, 2:53 PMI got a call from your company today re a RTA and when I asked how you got my number the person hung up. Can you explain that as anything other than evidence of a dishonest company?Full of shit replied 2/20/17, 8:46 PMOwners wife Kirsty who speaks to staff like dirt best laugh ever. Buying dodgy data preying on people via a call centre to hopefully grab a claim to pass onto a solicitor. Jog on. Glad I don't slog my guts out on minimum wage doing shitty long hours for you two anymore. Previous staff review bang on -

This from 01929774083 company called my mobile- it was a missed call. I 'phoned the number back& it was answered by a female with a Liverpudlian accent, who repeatedly mumbled the company name, but I eventually got it out of her. She said 'Our records show that you may have been involved an a minor accident in the last 2.5 years and may have suffered an injury. I told her that I had not. I asked her where she got my number from, but she just re-iterated 'our records'. I returned her call from my number withheld land line. She said she needed to have my name and mobile in order to delete it from'our records' I said that I was not willing to give this information, to which she replied that if I did not then I would keep getting calls until I did.

these are people from Ghana who want to steal monies from you they like to get older people who are trusting, they make claims about monies owed to you the get you to go to pay point and purchase a money transfer receipt, they then request the number from this saying they need this to send a courier to you with a check, by the time you realise you been tricked they have already got your money as they don't need the receipt, the likelihood of ever getting it back is nil,. they call at set times and the phone number is likely to be Skype linked, its time to pull the plug so if they persist do as im going to and call in the police and BT to get the number closed

IT'S A PPI CLAIM COMPANY.
These people want you to use them to make any PPI claim you may have against a bank. Either that, or they are pretending to be that type of company, so that they can harvest your personal details in a series of questions, with the ultimate aim of using your details to commit crime/ steal your money or ID. Either way, NEVER give out your personal info to anyone who calls you, whoever they may claim to be, since they could be lying.
The chap who called me introduced himself as being from some company I'd never heard of (said too quickly for me to hear properly). He then went on to say that their company has noted that I'd made a PPI payment in the past, & wondered how I was getting on with my claim (against the banks). Well, I instantly knew that he was just "fishing" because I have never made any PPI payments in the past. Companies usually fish like this by text message, so this is an interesting new twist on the scam, whereby they actually call you (even more annoying!) They send out text messages by the million, to randomly generated mobile phone numbers, many of which don't even exist. If they hit it lucky, & someone actually replies to them, then they know they have found a real number, & can use it for further sales atttempts.
Text messages & calls like this which I just received, don't actually know you, or whether you have ever made any PPI payments. But they hope that by saying that they know you have made a payment, then they might get you to reveal IF you have, & if so, they can then try to talk you into making a PPI claim using their services.
For people who have been living in a bubble & don't know what a PPI claim is, Google it! The banks are currently having to pay out billions, & shonky companies like this are setting up all over the place to try to cash in on it. If you DO have to make a PPI claim, you don't need a company to do it for you, you can fill in the forms yourself for FREE - so don't get ripped off!
If you receive one of these calls, there isn't a lot you can do through them, complaints-wise, as they are clearly immoral & operating outside the law. I am registered with the TPS, which means it would be illegal for this company to call me, & yet still they did. If you wish to report it, go to the TPS website at http://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/
As far as dealing with the caller at the time, use you own preferred method! Mine is to sound interested, feed them a few fake details if asked for them, & to keep them hanging on for me as long as possible, while I look for a pen or answer the door, etc. Basically, just waste as much of their time as possible! It reduces their potential earnings, & while they're waiting for you, they're not annoying some other victim!
