Unwanted text msg sent ONLY after I'd tried to buy an iphone on O2's website - so suspect there is a security weakness in O2's online shop so scammers can read my number from their site. "Hi mate these guys have some new iPhones to give away".

I got a text message from this number, saying that I'd win £100 if I would go on a homepage they sent the link to. Oh, the person identified as "Mia" as if that would make it anymore trustworthy when I don't even know a Mia. I don't know what exactly what will happen if you check out the homepage, but I'm fairly certain it won't get you £100!

Message read: 'Hey Amigo. These guys have some new ipads to give away....' I've recently put an ad in with Gumtree (number hidden) so suspect it's related to that - though I do have an o2 account that I've recently used online so potentially it's related to that as someone else suggested.
