I had two garbled messages from this number claiming to be from Hotpoint about my tumble dryer safety repair. I don't have a Hotpoint dryer. I called Hotpoint ( different number) and they said I am not on their database, so they don't know who was calling. My advice would be to call Hotpoint/Indesit direct!

Had a garballed message left on answerphone, said was from Hotpoint re recall /service on tumble drier but never rang back. Rang number but was just a recorded message. Rang customer service they told me to ring 03448 224224 option 3 to book an engineer to visit to do modification to drier. Lines open from 8am til 5.00 pm

I think this is a trustworthy number as I too am awaiting a tumble dryer repair. However when you answer it is just a recorded message saying they will call back so it all seems a bit pointless. I tried calling the number but got the same message.

After reading the above comments I called Indesit engineers on 03448224224 - existing repair - talk to operator and made an appointment for them to come out and repair my tumbler. If not for the call, which I couldn't hear or understand, I would not have proceeded. It all worked out well for me.

Answered phone to automated message telling me it was a genuine call but nothing else. Not sure who from, although on line searches suggest it is Hotpoint tumble dryers - which I have been waiting for for 6 months! After hearing that message 5 times the line went dead.
