It's only British Gas trying to get feedback on receipt contact you made with them. Nothing sinister at all. And if you call the number then they can stop them happening in future. Also, ex-directory, if you've ever given them your number previously then that what they use. They don't sell your number on.

Just had a call from this number which I ignored. Called back & got an automated message stating it was British Gas wanting feedback on a recent call. I'm not with British Gas and have never called them. I did however call PH Jones so I think perhaps they are connected? Either way the number is getting blocked!

Have called my house wishing to speak to my wife who is the account holder, Will not discuss the matter with me. My wife refuses to speak to them as she is continually contacted. They have now managed to source my mobile number through a routine yearly service contact we have and no have started to call my mobile number. When you do not wish to speak to them they should remove your number.

Follow up customer service survey following complaint about 7 (yes seven) failed attempts to install a smart meter. Several calls in succession from this number which crashes after the second survey question. Total crap like their engineers it seems.

Just paid my bill over the phone.. the agent asked me at the end of the call if I would be interested in a smart meter and could i do a survey about how I had been dealt with.. I said a definite no to both.. 30 seconds later a call from this 0800 number..... annoying..... how did they get my number.. surely no means no.......

Someone claiming to be British Gas phoned my mobile. I'm positive I never gave my mobile number out. But the man said it was just a courtesy call to see how I was doing and to see if I had time to do a survey with them. Thing is my mobile either cut out or the bloke hung up before it got any further. My android phone tends to cut off all calls every chance it gets. B.G. didn't ring again after that. I'd love to know how they got my number :-/

I rang British Gas to arrange a service and asked them not to pass my number on to anyone else. Got a call asking for feedback 30 minutes later. Did not answer and blocked the number. Think I will have to get service from elsewhere if they ignore what I ask in future.

Although I opted out of the feedback call they phoned anyway. They are British Gas. Not an unknown company. I rang them to report nuisence calls from the Marks Group whom they use to do their loft instalations. So they called me for a rating. Erm........gave them ear bashing. There is an opt out number when you ring the number.

It rang shortly after I'd been on to British Gas. Their automated system said they may ring back to give a short survey on how my enquiry was handled. I didn't get there in time to answer it, and they left no message. My worry is that I am ex-directory, rang them with call barring on, have never given them my number and also subscribe to TPS, so how did they get my number?
