I wrote a complaint to the dwp last week and I got a call today from this number. The voice mail left says they were from the dwp and calling about the letter I sent in complaint. The number onscreen was the 0800 number but when listening to voicemail, the carrier gave a different number and the number left in the message for me to call was the same and not the 0800 number. I'm guessing this is genuine..

I was register with the csa a number of years ago but they failed to do anything and not heard off them for 2 years!!!! Is it really the csa???? -

Rang our landline 3 times. Each time we answered, they rang off. We rang the number back and got a recorded message saying they were sorry we weren't available when they phoned today and they would call back later. English female voice on recorded message.

Inbound call. They said CSA and asked for NI. I didn't have it so they said they would ask security questions. Hackles went up so I asked them for a number to call back on - they gave me 0345 609 0062. I rang this and CSA answered, but no one named Emma in department had called me. Was told I had to have NI number to find case, no other way, so call back with NI number. Also my kids are all over 20 which isn't under CSA jurastriction - extremely dodgy

This IS the number of ONE of the CSA/CMS offices.. there are several across the UK, including Northern Ireland.
They cannot specify husband's details in case he has re-married for example.. Data protection act doesn't allow for mistakes.. DWP means Department of Works & Pensions (for those in the dark) -

Rang my mum and said it was csa. Said about a case in 1994 about my brother who wasnt even born then! And about my father (not even my brothers father) and then asked personal details. My mum had to stop the call as sounds too fishy!

called me about my csa payments. identified themselves as DWP initially, but quickly inform you that they are the csa once you clear security.

Would not tell me anything except her name was Audrey and when I asked where she was calling from she refused to tell me but insisting I give her husbands mobile number !
