i got a call, and answered by mistake the guy knew my name - asked if it was me i said yes then he told me he was callingto do a survey and would only take 2 mins (it never does lol) i asked how he got my number and he said i done a survey a while ago on ???? and i had offered to do a follow up survey - I said no i didnt do that can you remove my number from your database - he hung up lol

if they call again I will answer and again ask my number to be removed - tho almost 6 months of not calling me after the first time - not bad lol -

Another call to ignore. Let it ring out, they didn't leave a voice message so clearly I'm not that important. Answered before to silence as per other comments previously. In a way I do feel for the poor sods making these calls so next time they call I'll offer them the chance to get out!!

Caller: good morning sir, are you Mr XXXX?
Me: Who are you?
C: I need to know if you are Mr XXXX.
M:I'm not confirming any details with you until you tell me who you are.
(repeat this multiple times) -

Number called took ages to reply once I answered the call. Some foreign chap whom I could not understand properly asked me if I was XXXX (my name) I asked what it was about he said it was a survey and nothing else I told him I was not interested so he hung up.

They call my mobile number but I never pick up. The calls seem to come in flurries. one or two a day for a week or so, and then silence for months. But they always seem to come back. They are certainly tenacious. Just wish they would leave me in peace, though.

I have found out that they would call you by reverse charges and drain your mobile credit or boost your phone charges!!! I will ignore their calls from now on and will never answer them. the Ba****ds!!!!!

I am fed-up with these calls and everytime they call me, all I do was answer but not talk to them and just leave it til they disconnect the call themselves and that way that will teach them not to call me as I am DEAF!!! They are utter and complete morons!!!!

A TPS scam. Give you a load of blurb about email, SMS and mobile phone... and then say they're going to do a survey, "Is it OK to continue?"
IF you agree (JUST DON'T) you're giving yourself a world of pain since you're giving them permission to call, text and email you until the cows are turned into beef patties.
The amusing thing here (and I've heard the script several times now) is that they are totally unprepared for a negative response. It totally flummoxes them - so it's clear that almost everyone agrees.

Some kind of telemarketing scam. Answered to silence, when they finally picked up it was clear form the background noise it was a call center of some kind... And they got my name wrong so its clear they'd bought my details from somewhere else and copied them wrong. They claimed I'd answered a survey recently, which I have not, and asked if I'd do one again.
Defiantely scammers of some kind. -

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
They keep asking for Daniel Stevenson, it is not me! Firt I was polite, then I screamed as loud as I could a few times, then the final straw I lost it and swore, screamed, shouted and acted like a crazy man! The caller refered me to his supervisor where I carried on acting possessed and he eventually took me off the call loop! Only time will tell if I'm actually off it! He said his name was mike brabro and was calling from "people's oppinion" ... Well he certainly got mine! -

Telemarketers, usual nonsense, I suggest you just cut the call if answered by mistake, block them on the mobile or landline handset if you are able, if you do talk to them then of course ask for your details to be removed etc...
Do not behave like the quarter wit above, screaming and shouting at them, it just makes you look like a complete and utter fool and an idiot and in truth there is no reason to behave in such a way, it acheives nothing in terms of getting you out of their database.
As annoying as these calls can be, your behavior is a severe over reaction and shows up some serious attitude issues.
Ask for their mail address, write them a letter telling them you want off their list, and tell them you are going to report them to OFCOM and other various bodies such as the ICO.
This way youll have it in writing and it is provable that you made your request for removal from their database and if they do call you, then you have a legal position on the matter that is provable.
You have to play the game smart no act like some demented teenager with an attitude, it is not really going to get you very far nor get you any respect from anyone.Orinoco replied 12/4/14, 3:40 PMReporting the companies only works if thet are based in the UK. Most call centres like this operate outside of the UK for the simple reaon that they can ignore the UK phone regulations. Sad but true.

They called again, I know it's
Consumer Lifestyles as I have the number logged in my phone as "Consumer Lifestyles Scammer"
As it's Christmas I thought I'd have a chat with the Asian lady.
It went:-
Her: Are you Mr XXXX?
Me: Who's calling?
Her Are you Mr XXXX?
Me: Who are you?
(repeat above 2 lines 6 times)
Her: Are you Mr XXXX, yes or no?
Me: Who are you?
Her: My name is (something unintelligible) Are you Mr XXX?
Me: Who wants him?
Her: I want to speak to Mr XXX?
Me: What's it in connection with?
Her: So you are Mr XXXX?
Me: I didn't say that. I asked what's it in connection with?
Her: You aren't Mr XXXX?
Me: I didn't say that either. I asked what's it in connection with?
Her: I need to know I am speaking to Mr XXX before I say what it connect with
Me: And who are you?
(All repeated until she hung up 5 minutes later)
