   A cold call from UK Public Information Service. For my wife. Wouldn't answer any questions I had about what information they wanted to give or where they got it from due to "data protection". The caller hung up after a while

   Said they were wanting information so they would tell me how much PPI I was owed. Wanted my borrowing history over 15 years. They asked me security questions but I kept saying I didn't know who there were and not happy to give out personal information. Conversation kept going in circles as they couldn't give me answers I wanted. Called me 'Mrs' which has never been my status!

   Woman calling knew my name and said she was not selling anything. When challenged, she said I had not claimed for mis-sold PPI. I immediately told her to leave me alone and that my number is registered with TPS. I have never purchased PPI.

   Called asking for the name of the person who owned the phone number before myself (have jad a lot of calls for this person over the last 4 YEARS that I have had it, including from his family in South Africa!). When I said there was no one of that name available on the number, they hung up before I could ask who they were of ask them to delet the number. grr

   Called asking for my wife using her old surname. When I asked who the caller was she said the UK Public Advice Centre.

   Just had them call, the woman wanted to know who she was speaking to. If they call me, they should know that, so I told them I was registered with the TPS and not to call again, then hung up.
