Keep phoning and keep getting blocked.
Think it is someone from an internet provider as you have to put your phone number into the search box to see what services they can provide , but I did not want to get a phone call about it until I have made my choice of which company to use. -

Clear answer calling on behalf of ee apparently when I call back it just says you were called today by clear answer on behalf of ee we will call again. I spoke to ee and they have no idea who these are. These calls started after I put in an order for ee broadband so must be linked somehow

So far I've received two calls from this number within 24hrs after an online enquiry for broadband & phone with EE.
I was just "shopping around" for a better deal. I don't think I'll bother to look any further now if this is what's going to happen as a result, with endless and unauthorised telesales calls.
As a rule, I don't answer calls on my landline anyway - exactly because of this kind of problem from telesales companies. My telephone answer machine does that for me on the "answer only" option and the caller is totally unable to leave a message regardless.
My landline is there for my broadband connection only.It's otherwise a non-essential in my household as we all have great mobile tariffs that we use instead - plus some very novel-type traditional handsets we can plug into the mobile so as not to boil ones' ear!...
I assure any reader of this information, the nuisance caller/s soon become very bored with the constant "answer only" and always unable to leave a voice message; in that they will disappear eventually.
It may take a while but be patient and just laugh at their frustration of trying to contact you - when it's likely that they never will!
