Oh god, why did i reply to that text. Call after call trying to gather information. Alarm bells should have rung when i answered the call and was greeted with the wrong name. They are trying to gather information for marketing. I hung up before i got as far as the actual laser surgery.

This morning, these fanatics gave me 3 missed calls (not to mention 2 calls the day before). The phoner calls you up claiming that you've entered the prize draw. Thereafter, the phoner plays his trump card by luring you into paying for laser eye surgery. They fail to realise (or purposfully neglect) the fact that the reason most people enter the competition in the first place is because they don't want to pay or because they cannot afford to pay. Therefore, trying to convince the callee just after they've entered the competition will in most cases fail. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the competition is a hoax.
BOB replied 7/19/12, 10:55 AMThis number is Optical Express...they do ring because of you entering a competition and i agree with the previous comments... but they do offer to go get an eye check taking 1 hour to see if your suitable..for free. So if nothing else at least you can find out if you can have eye laser surgery?! ... But yes- they are massively persistant!! lol

I just received a call from them. It is from Optical Express. They try and persuade you to come for a consultation, by telling you how good it would be to have perfect vision. They have structured questions they ask you, as a strategy to try and persuade you, possibly also by subliminal suggestion. They might try and make you subliminally feel like it’s the right thing to do (to have surgery), but you won’t know why you feel like it’s the right thing, unless you know the tricks of subliminal suggestion. Clever b******s. Don’t be deceived.
