Calling persistently for a person who has never ever lived at this address ( at least not in the past 20 years! ).
When I tell the indian call centre person this, as I do on each call, they then ask for the road or street number, which I decline to give them as they should know the details of the person they are calling for.

Harrassment call. Too many of calls to my mobile are harrassment callers. This is the third number I have had calls from today and it is only 9.55 am.

They are a debt collection company who have purchased your debt from Lloyds or HSBC Etc for less than you owe and are trying to get the money and will be very persistent. If you haven't missed any payments to your bank then nothing they can do. Just tell them to send something to you in writing as you do not give out information over the phone - I have done this and never received any letters.

THIS NUMBER IS NOT HALIFAX OR THE LLOYDS BANKING GROUP. I PHONED THEM TO CONFIRM. I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS OR WHAT THEY WANT. I WOULDN'T PHONE THEM BACK JUST IN CASE.
Just had a call from this number on my mobile. There was a lady there with an accent I didn't recognise. She gave no name, and said she was from Halifax regarding my personal account. I used to have an account with Halifax, but I shut it down about a year ago, but I do still have a joint account with my husband, that isn't used. She asked for my Name, birth date and PREVIOUS address. Weird. I gave them to her and she said she needed my updated address. I gave her the new postcode thinking this was daft as Halifax have been sending our post to our new address. When I asked her why she was asking me for this information the line went dead.
I thought it was odd, so I went to call Halifax from my landline to confirm all this. Even more weirdly, and I must have answered the phone as it rang, there was already another person on the line - from "Halifax" again. Again he asked me to confirm my security details, and instead I told him I was going to hang up and call Halifax back. Just done so and they say they are nothing to do with this number. This number is not the Lloyds banking group, or halifax or anyone else associated, so I'd be extremely cautious. I think I will be ok, as I only gave out security questions that anyone with half a brain could find out - nothing too personal like account numbers, pin numbers etc. Just be wary. Don't give them anymore information. Same thing, this number has been ringing and asking for my personal details so that they can talk to me about my account. I refused to give them those details, rang my bank who said they would never make a call like that and that there was no reason fro them to call me.
