Calls from 01164010937 are associated with PCP Claim Scammers - Expert Opinion
This number, +441164010937, is consistently reported as a highly persistent and aggressive scam caller, predominantly focusing on fraudulent claims related to Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) car finance or general car finance. Callers often impersonate representatives from a 'PCP claim company' or 'car finance agreement' provider, attempting to extract personal and financial information under the pretense of offering compensation for alleged mis-sold agreements. User experiences highlight various tactics, including unsolicited calls, immediate hang-ups (possibly to verify active numbers), silent voicemails, and instances of extremely abusive or threatening language when individuals refuse to cooperate or question their legitimacy. Some callers have also attempted to run a 'government home energy scheme' scam. These calls frequently originate from what sounds like busy call centres, often spoofing UK local numbers (e.g., Leicester) despite potentially being located internationally. This type of scam relies on high-pressure sales tactics, deception, and often escalates to harassment if the initial approach is unsuccessful. The primary objective is typically data harvesting for future fraudulent activities or direct financial fraud. It is strongly advised to block this number and report it to relevant authorities.
