Calls from 07700108001 are associated with Network Provider Impersonator - Expert Opinion
This number, +447700108001, is associated with a highly suspicious pattern of activity, characterized by callers impersonating various mobile network and telecommunication providers such as O2, Vodafone, EE, BT, and Carphone Warehouse. Multiple users report that the callers attempt to solicit personal or account-related information, often under the guise of an existing 'business line' or service that the recipient does not possess. When challenged, they either hang up abruptly or change their claimed affiliation, indicating a lack of legitimate purpose. This behavior is a classic sign of a 'phishing' scam, where fraudsters try to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information (like account details, personal identifiers) that can then be used for identity theft, unauthorized account access, or other fraudulent activities. The ultimate goal is often to create a 'cost trap' for the victim through deceit.
