Called my landline at 09:17 on a Saturday when I was already up but could have got me out of bed as it was that early on a Saturday. Caller posed as from Talk Talk, asked to speak to me and said my computer broadband connection could be corrupt and wanted me to log on my computer. I am with Talk Talk and I got to the stage of logging on when I reminded the caller she would have to wait a minute while I logged on and she cut me off with her impatience. I called Talk Talk to ask if they call customers with my reason for an in coming call and they said no. Talk Talk said to ignore them even if they pose as being from your own provider. I usually get them off callers posing as from a private company or Microsoft that I know NEVER to fall for as they get all your details and in the worst case scenario, bankrupt you electronically but this time was the first one posing as from my own provider. Never fall for the ones posing as from your own provider. Lots of my time was wasted on receiving the bogus call, logging on, ringing Talk Talk choosing what buttons to press in their menu, their queue and receiving their genuine advice.
