My son took the call about securing a device to prevent unwanted calls! He kept them talking (possibly Indian accents) realising at once it was a scam until they persisted in asking for his password. So he gave them one which I will not put into print!! The caller hung up and then the other caller phoned and threatened legal action! Beware!

Claimed they were a government backed scheme and were going to add my name to a list with more secure blocking than TPS. I reacted suspiciously and they gave me the website address www.realcommbox.com (which is genuine). Said they (the website) could send me a box. However, caller did not ask for bank details, possibly because I was a bit cagey.

Just got the phone call today. Someone saying they are working with the government and the TPS and would put our phone number on an even better register that would stop all the nuisance calls.
Then went on to say they would send a box .... when asked whether I would have to pay anything, no reply. I then asked for a website so I could check it out, they gave something like "www.realconbox.com" (can't be found) and the 08451297936 number that I would have to ring in order to get everything sorted.
Only asked all those questions to find out what was really going on and hope nobody will fall for it. -

Tried selling a call prevention box and gave the number 0845 1297936 as the support number.
When I asked if it would stop people like him calling me he appeared to fail to understand me. Eventually he got a colleague to listen and hung up. -

Call from "government backed service" called the TPS, claiming that I have received nuisance calls and offering to put me onto the "more secure version of the TPS" which will "stop all nuisance calls, scam calls, block all overseas call centres" etc.
What, like you scamming bunch? Calling from an overseas call centre "No, I am from Bournemouth"? Pretending to be someone you are not? Hmmm. "Well then you will still get all the calls sir".
The TPS do NOT make outgoing calls touting their services.

Just had a call from this number from Dave saying they will send me a box to stop unwanted recorded clls. Then went on to say it would cost £1.90 a month for three years. When I said I wasn't paying anything Dave put the phone down!! I would say he is untrustworthy! Also gave me a number to ring 08451297936. I won't be ringing it!
