Supposedly from BT - actually had my name requesting direct email address as need to send info on broadband. When I challenged that BT held all that information already as I received statements, they hung up

reported to be calling from BT and asked for my email address in order to send information. when I questioned this by saying I would email them and they could send me the info back they told me their email was F*C*off@F*C*off.com and put the phone down.

Two calls from a woman with an Asian accent in as many days, claiming to be from BT asking for email address to send information about mobile phone recycling. Hung up when queried whether they were in fact from British Telecom and, second time, asked to email 'admin'.

Had my husband's company name. Wanted to know his email address. When I queried it she said their systems were down. I explained that from my point of view she could be anyone, and she put the phone down. Asian accent.

Lady with Asian accent said she was from BT, asked for the email address of the person who she should email about an internet and systems update. I said we didn't use BT and I was suspicious of the call, she put phone down.

Reported to be calling on the behalf of BT "Nicole" I think that the foreign lady tried to pass her name off as. when requested a return phone number she gave the standard 0800 800 ... number when asked for her employee number she hung up

Additionally the area code "01126" doesn't appear to exist which gives the impression that a fake outgoing line id is in use.
