Called today and after probing said their office was in Cardiff UK. He'd no idea what part of UK Cardiff was in. Kept him talking for amusement. Their main computer had picked up signals from mine saying it wasn't running right. He didn't believe me when I said there might be snow on the aerial. He hung up on me.

Received a call from this number on 20/12/14 and let it go to ansaphone as I didn't recognise the number and get a large number of nuisance calls. If people start to leave a message, I pick up. If they don't leave a message (as on this occasion) I check for others' experience with the number after the call, and I was not surprised to discover that it's another one of these tiresome attempts to gain access to my computer.

Foreign sounding fellow told me they had been monitoring bad activity happening with my computer and knew why it was going slow.
I told him it must be something to do with my IP - at which point he said yes - your IP number is.... and he had two or three attempts at it - during which time I laughed - which is when he said "if your computer crashes don't call us" I laughed and promised I would not - and he slammed the phone down...
ANYONE ringing you about a possible computer issue - who you've never heard of before, contacted before or asked for help with your computer who says it's your blah blah blah that's at fault IS CONNING YOU or attempting to!9gov

Like the others computer is running slow. When i asked how he knows this he replied through the microsoft server. I told him it was a company lap top so he would have to scam them. Reply he would scam them for £2000 instead of scaming me £200. Good luck with that.

Everyone should report the number here to Action Fraud UK, I have had calls from this person. Quite abusive to a friend of mine aswell. I reported one to www.actionfraud.police.uk or you can call them on 03001232040 fill out a crime report and stop then doing this to vulnerable people who don't know any better.

Scammers trying to get remote access to our computers. Apparently lots of vulnerabilities about as 'its holiday season' and they were going to 'make my computer safe'. Strung them along for twenty minutes, then they asked whether I was out of my mind (given I was playing stupid) - so I gave them a piece of my mind and hung up.

We were called by this number today. They told my Mum the same thing about issues with the computer. Trouble is that my Mum believed them as she had been having computer troubles so went along with the call. They accessed the computer via Team Viewer and loaded on a version of Clean My Mac ran a clean and then the problem had been solved. Took my Mum's card details and told her the charge was £199 for a 9 year service. They didn't charge anything immediately but said they would shortly. We have reason to believe that this is fraudulent. Beware! We have stopped our card and told the bank to look out for any dodgy transactions.

I was called by 01131132840 today 15/12/14, Indian sounding lady, telling me she has been tracking my use an can see my Computer has various problems, virus etc and that she can help me, usual rubbish. knowing that she was going to try and access my PC to either download virus or steal my personal info I asked her sarcasticaly' do u need to remotely access my computer?!' She answered 'I'm not saying that' and immediately hung up on me!

As all above. Gave me company name of Global Cubes (they have a website at globalcubes.com) so appeared to be legit. Kept them on the phone for 50 minutes for amusement purposes. Apparently my number was given to them by Apple?! Their intention is to get you to download a bit of software enabling them to remotely control your pc.

Called to tell me that my computer was running slow and offered to take control of my laptop to show me how to cure the problem. I kept pestering HER with various questions in the middle of her "spill" eventually she hang up. Anyone reading this NEVER let anyone take control of your computer from a "cold" telephone call....

Just had the usual type of call from foreign sounding bloke, stating my computer was slow etc,etc. when challenged he became very abusive. definitely a scam, don't give him any info. I have reported the call to Ofcom, but don't know if they can do anything about it.

Asian sounding chap trying to gain access to my computer saying it was slow. Kept him talking for a few minutes to cost him the phone call. After a while he got very abusive calling me all sorts of names then hung up. Keep people like this talking so they don't have time to annoy anyone else.
