I received a call from this number, they said that they had noticed that my computer was running slow and had I noticed this. I said I had never had any problems, he repeated this again and tried to convince me my computer had a fault. I gave nothing away and he hung up the phone very promptly. I was not happy about the call so looked the number up and came accross this forum, so glad I checked it out.

Today (10.07.13) I received a call from a male who stated he was from technical support from my broadband provider. He told me my computer had flagged up on the main frame as having viruses. He asked me if I was logged on to my computer I stated no and he asked me if I could to which I told him I would not. I told him that if I had problems with my computer I would contact my provider and not entertained unprompted calls from anyone. He asked if he could email me and then call me back, to which I said yes knowing full well that he would be unable to do so as he didn't have my email address. I was waiting for him to ask but he clearly thought better of it, knowing that I would give no information at all.

My phone rang and I answered it, but there was some delay before the scammer answered at his end - this is often because numbers are dialled at random by a computer and only put through to the scammer if answered.
Said he was "technical support for your broadband service provider" . . . more alarm bells sounded so I said "which particular broadband is that?". He said "Yes sir, Virgin Media".
Wrong answer, so I gave him my most forceful "Go away and stay away" before slamming the phone down.
An obvious and very poorly-executed scam and I hope the culprit is hauled off to court as soon as possible . . . telephone number and location are known, so what's the delay? -

Called from this number which is clearly a scam/phishing caller.
Asian Man spoke and claimed to be from "TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT OF YOUR BROADBAND CONNECTION" No Company Name!!!! and stated "There is a problem with your braodband connection!"
My reply was........ GARBAGE. I dont have a broadband connection.
For some obscure reason the call went dead ??? -

SCAM - avoid engaging, although for entertainment you could see how long it takes before they start swearing (they probably will) or they put the phone down on you.
Details - they want you to use an entirely legitimate TeamViewer software tool to 'scan for viruses', that 'BT has told them you have'. This is an odd use of TeamViewer. In other words they want to access your computer for dubious purposes. -

Male called from this number, stating they were from some computer technical support and telling me I had a virus in my computer, they called the wrong person Im afraid, I told him to shut up, I'm not stupid I haven't even got a computer (I have), he then became threatening and stated I was an arseh*le and a mother Fu**er.

Had a call from this number on the 28/03/13. Told they are from TalkTalk and there the problem with the Internet in our area. Have been told to go to www.teamviewer.com and click the link JOIN REMOTE CONTROL SESSION and tell them the number on the page which I stupidetly did. Them I have seen changes in my computer and I realized they have asses to it. The man told he refer me to the senoir manager. Another man tolm me I have many viruses in my Computer. I askes How it can happen. I have got NORTON antivirus program. I said I AM NOT SURE YOU ARE CALLING FROM TALKTALK. Ans asked him his name. Then he called me F.....ing and said he will crush my compter. I said I will report him to the police and put telephone down.

I had a call from this number and they were telling me they were from the service centre from my broadband provider and wanted me to allow them to connect to my computer to see why I was having problems, when I asked for their name and number they hung up. Clearly a scam.

Said he was from my broadband provider, I hung up, he then rang back and said "why you f***ng hang up on me bi*ch" I then hung up again, he then rang and rang and rang, when I eventually picked up he said "if you f***ing hang up on me again I'm going to ring you 200 times a day" I then hung up and he proceded to ring me constantly for 10/15 minutes. Charming man.
