Appalling scam. They hack via free downloadable programmes to say your PC is 'under attack' and to call them - which stupidly my teen son did. Now they ring repeatedly trying to get me to pay them hundreds of pounds to 'fix' the 'warnings' they're getting. I can't believe they're allowed to operate at all!! They must prey on old people. Disgusting

This number phoned me at 8.14 this morning telling me I had a problem with my Windows Computer. When I said I didn't know what he was talking about, he replied angrily that he had just told me and then repeated it. When I said I didn't have a PC, he hung up!

The caller was a man with a foreign accent. He started to tell me he was calling about my computer but I decided it was a scam, told him I wasn't interested, hung up and blocked the number. I do not generally answer numbers that I do not recognise but as it was 08.30, I thought it could be somthing important.

called alot so i answered a few times without speaking and they hung up immediately. Then i answered and went along with "the nice man from Microsoft" who wanted to "fix" my computer. When i got to a step that would do something to my computer i told him i thought he was a fake and a terrible person for sucking people in and he got really angry and went off! These people are scum for hoaxing people who don't know computers, particularly elderly folk.
Sean replied 11/10/15, 4:29 PMYes, my experience. I rang the police who told me to report it to Action Fraud, where no one answered the phone after 15 minutes and whose website doesn't work. I texted their number but undelivered text.
