They call me with happy news. I have won a holiday to Florida for 6 people. I just have to buy a flight with them and rest of holiday is free. They said, they have my phone number from survey I have attended. I have asked them for more info send to my email. No answer, of course.

LNR reported unknown with the number 01158285000 as Telemarketer
I got a text alert saying I'd missed a call from this number, but the call I missed was actually 01702 440186. Which from Googling, seems to be for a holiday/timeshare company who I foolishly gave my contact details to before getting on an EasyJet flight a few weeks ago (promise of a free holiday prize draw, haha)

Very strong, very deep Filipino accent, claimed to be from T-Mobile, trying to sell me a contract with the network.
When I asked where they got my number from, they told me T-Mobile sold it to them.
I told them that was not possible, as I wasn't a T-Mobile customer and they didn't have my number to sell.
The woman tried to argue that I needed to speak to T-Mobile, at which point I told her that I'd speak to the Data Protection Registrar and file a complaint, and she hung up with no futher comment.
About as untrustworthy as I could possibly note - you only go as low as 9. Why not lower??? :( -

Received a text containing a lie from this number, showing as +44 115 828 5000 - said I had missed a call from them, but patently had not done so since this number is not in my missed call list.
The text says it is a "free Call Alert from O2. To disable this dial 901, press *, then option 4 and option 5". Sounds like a scam that will cost a fortune. Have blocked this number. Also had the other number +20 89 065 239 call the other day - these are scammersanon replied 11/27/15, 11:54 AMthis comment can be ignored, just a simple person who does not know anything about the network she is on... o2 send txts with no lies in it that tell you of missed calls when you have no signal...

This unknown organisation called my mobile phone, which put them straight through to voicemail. Then followed 30secs of "silence" where no message was left but you
could hear lots of voices from a call centre in the background.
Presumably the person calling didn't realise they'd got through to my voicemail, or they were trying to call lots of different lines at once and didn't have time to deal with
my line when it answered. Either way, these unsolicited calls from different unknown numbers are becoming ever more frequent and almost daily, and are always from
companies fishing to see if I have ppi/ insurance/ accident claims or financial matters they can handle for me. I never speak to them, but it doesn't stop them. Neither
does complaining to anyone, asking to be taken off databases, or registering your number at the TPS. There's also no knowing if these are legitimate claims handlers
(albeit operating in a despicable manner) or if they have spoofed the phone number you see displayed, and are actually calling from overseas where they can't be
prosecuted for their actions. They could also not be claims handlers at all, and actually just trying to get personal details from you in order to steal your identity and/or
money.
The fact that there are so many calls like this being made for so long now indicates there must be some money to be made from it. Who are the naive or clueless halfwits
who actually give them their details over the phone and do business with these parasites?
The technology exists which could prevent this, but the telecoms companies don't care to implement it, probably because they profit from all the calls. What a joke our
telecoms legislation has become, and the bodies which are supposed to protect us from this should refund the taxpayers money and then be shot.
