What you should all do is play along with them.
When they call they do not know who you are so tell them a fictitious name and address. Find a street name and tell them a house number that does not exist. Talk to them for as long as you can and make believe you are very interested but as I say think of a good name like "Ilene Dover" or something like that.
Keep them on the phone for as long as you can but tell them a pack of lies. If they ask for your bank details tell them a name of a none existing bank, ie: Western National Bank of Switzerland. Just tell then lies and keep them on the phone for as long as you can. I wish everyone would do this and this would cost them money as well as costing money to send the information to a fictitious address.
Lets all knuckle down and get these fraudsters once and for all.
Also when they ask for your account pretend you are looking for it and shuffle some paper about and take 5 minutes looking. Keep them on the phone for as long as you can.

Called to sell clearing 70% of my debts, through IVF. She went againwhen I told her I wasn't going to tel a stranger over the phone my financial details. Surely any sane person would be te same, it is her job to persuade me otherwise and in a quiet 10 minutes at work I wsas prepared to keep her on the phone persuading me. Record for doing this so far is about 5 1/2 minutes before they rang off. I want to keep them ont he phone, costing them money for 10 minutes, thats my goal

Avoid at all costs and if you are currently having any DMP or IVA work done with this company I strongly suggest you cancel and move to another company immediately. I work for the FCA and can confirm this company are under investigation for fraudulent activity! Do not pay this company any of your money as it will not be paying off your debts!!

aonther company phishing for bank details, do not trust a work they say. i looked on car insurance comparison sites yesterday and needed to put a phone number, today i have had 4 cold calls from these idiots!

FYI, i have had calls from this number and ignored it, then i decided to answer it, when the person explained an iva to me and how it can help with debt,it sounded to good to be true and i never usually really respond to tele calls like this. As i am in debt i listened and before making a decision on what help to get, i done a few background checks on google on who they are and what an iva is. They are a well known company in the debt industry hold all the necessary licenses, and i also checked the FCA website and they are not under investigation, any companies under investigation can be found on the FCA. Do not believe these comments about thjem being fraudsters or scamsters, check for yourself on the FCA website. Yes they telemarket but which company doesnt these days, i am glad i done my own checks and not followed some of these comments, im calling them back to look into an iva

Told them they were connected through to the metropolitan police. Was asking their company registration number, address and VAT number as we need it for our investigation of phone scammers. They quickly ended the call

These call me on various numbers up to 10 times per day. They are called debt masters direct. They sell PPI claims advice.
I found a number where you can reach them (as their number blocks you from returning calls)

Had two silent calls today. I will be answering the call in future then stringing them along with a story of woe and unmanageable debts for about 20 mins. just to waste their time for a change.
If we all did this they might give up as it will increase their operating costs :-) -

Just been called by them. Apparently it is not a "sales call", so he also thinks I am an idiot.
Claims to be offering advice on debt management and IVA (for free... not a sales call remember). I was in work so couldn't really play with this call much however to an untrained ear IVA sounds like IVF.... you can ask him why he is calling about that if you want.
Normally I keep them on the line for as long as I can, wate thier time but today just told him that I have no debts (I on;y have a mortgage so this is true) -

Accepted call and was greeted with friendly How are you today. BUT then went on to ask if I had heard of an IVA. Said yes and asked how they had my number. The reply was they were ringing on behalf of the government to stop people paying excessive credit charges. Asked them to remove my number. Staff member shirty said she had not spoken to me before and just wanted to know my circumstances. Is this one big scam? My mobile is blocked and number hidden so where do they get the information?

Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn't! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. I'm not sure who I gave these details to, but no doubt at least my phone number has been sold to scammers and or telemarketers.

If you have Android on Jelly Bean or above, you can add all of these annoying numbers into a contact and select "aAll Calls to Voicemail" for that contact and it'll just go to voicemail when they ring. You won't know they've rang unless you check your recent calls. I removed Voicemail as well so after a while they stop calling.

Had a call from this number telling me that they can clear my debt problem (which i dont have) after seeing what he had to say i asked him where their company had got my details from and that they have breached my personal data he started to stutter and said that someone would call me back within 24 hours to discuss the company that sold my info to them. No returned call after 24 hours......pathetic really

Guy started asking me about whether I was struggling to pay all my debts - when I said I was OK, he claimed he knew a way to wipe 70% of all my debt, legally using an IVA. Complete lie and totally unsuitable for someone who isn't actually struggling. When I asked how he got my number, he hung up.
