Beware in a word - I had an attempted scam previously by one of these low lifes. They call claiming to be microsoft certified, get you to open the eventvwr window. I was a little tired and groggy this time so intended to shoo them off by telling them I knew it was a scam but they were very persistant - be cautious of this persistance it is designed to lure you into a false sense of security. 18 minutes later and after trying to get me to download ammyy (lets these scumbags take over your PC"!)they eventually hung up. DONT BUY IT, PLAY THEM FOR TIME AND DON'T BE SCAMMED!!!

got 2 calls in the space of half an hour from this number, claiming to be from Microsoft and that my "Windows computer" has downloaded a virus without my knowledge. Not according to my a/v software, which is active on all the windows machines at home. Usual scam, supply a credit card number which will get fleeced, but more worryingly they will ask for control of your windows computer to download that very virus they were talking about to your machine.

I had a call from this number. The guy was indian and could barely speak English. He claimed to be from Interpol and told me my computer was being hacked and used by other people. I told him I thought he was talking bollocks and was a conman. He put his supervisor on who tried to reassure me - I'm sure his supervisor was really him disguising his voice. I told him I wasn't going to do anything until he sent the local police to my door to verify the call was genuine. He said he would send the police on January 16th. I said, no send them now, tonight. He mumbled something unintelligible and rang off.

Im in America and these Indian people have been calling me everyday for the past week. I answered the first call and he said he wanted to know what medications i use because he wanted to give me a discount on them. I told him I don't use any meds he quickly hung up on me. I stopped answering, but they call everyday and i don't know how to get them to stop.

Lol it's worth stringing them along just for the fun as they know f*** all about computers. When I called back to tell them I've reported them they instantly hang up! Does that sound genuine?? Beware

This is a set of tech scammers from Kolkata, India. They are using the IP address 223.29.201.210. Their ISP is currently (11/02/2015) meghbelabroadband.com. They are actively scamming people by trying to convince people that a computer has been hacked using the normal tricks:
eventvwr (normal errors/logs)
msconfig (normal stopped services)
A script to display "hacks" (a simple script to echo false hacking information to your screen)

globalwidesolution.com, globaltech-support.com, affiliatedhelp.com, web2pc.com, iyogi.net, livetechguru.com, livetechguru.info, mamsolution.com, onlinerepairworld.com to name but a few.
