Tried to tell me that they were part of the government energy scheme and that my loft needed to be inspected for damp and dry rot. They tried to make an appointment but I wouldn't let them. After researching this number I notice it has also been used by numerous other companies asking about PPI and car accidents.

The caller told me his name was Jamie and that he was calling from the Government house insulation register. He said it had been more than 2 years since we had our insulation done and that we were due an inspection to make sure the insulation was working properly. I told him that I check on this insulation myself on a regular basis and was not interested in any survey. I also told him that we are ex directory and TPS registered but this did not deter him. He tried to get me to make an appointment for the inspection but as far as I am aware there is no requirement to have an inspection done. Personally I think this may be another form of distraction burglary or pre inspection of your property to see if its worth braking into.
