   Just received a call from 01516041893. Foreign sounding lady called 'Jenny' said she was from Microsoft in Reading and they had detected problems with my computer!I said I was busy and could I call her back. She gave me this number to call 01183283315. Obviously a scam.
   BUT - coincidentally(??!!) - my PC, landline and Broadband had turned off twice in the previous hour for 2 minutes each time. No problems with electricity. Could there be a link?

   Had this company called 3 times luckily took the number today and found that this is a scam and told them that when they called back. They still wanted to access to the comp so read out the complaint via online, said I do not want anymore calls

   very convincing call wanting me to allow access after 'proving' they knew my laptop id and showing error messages-telling me they worked in reading when I asked what the weather was like seemed to upset them - obviously based in india before this was about to do as asked then realised probably a scam very convincing one - gave me this number and to call Mark Anderson - beware thanks for this website

   They trick you into givng access to your computer. They then take over the computer and demand money otherwise they will delete the contents of your computer

   I have received calls from this number on a regular basis, saying they are from Microsoft based in Reading. Wanting to have access to my machine. They threatened to 'block' the machine if I did not give access. Needless to say, I did not progress with the call.

    Cold call from 'Microsoft' trying ot gain access to my laptop with a pretty convincing spiel. Alarm bells were ringing for the entire call. All ended with no harm or access given

    A girl called Lia called giving the number 01183283315 saying she was from Microsoft - when asked how she obtained my details she hung up. I guess that this is some sort of scam?

    Michael James called claiming to be with Microsoft saying my computer was being used by hackers. Wanted to take control of it to fix it. Microsoft said it was a scam. Beware.

    I had the exaxt same cal and more worrying they are now stalking me and i cant get rid of them. I am having to change my phone number. I also called microsoft and its 100% a scam.

    caller purports to be calling from microsoft and wants remote control of my computer saying i have been hacked for identity id and my details being used for illegal betting etc .rang microsoft who said this is a scam as they would not make such a call

    My Mother has had this call. She asked for a phone number, so I could call back on her behalf. I did and allowed them to take control of her computer. They showed a massive list of errors and explained she had been hacked. The proposed 'solution' was to upgrade from Windows XP to 8.1 for a reduced fee of £20. They asked for a form to be completed online to allow them to proceed. When I requested they sent the form by email, so we could verify it was genuine, they started threatening that the computer would be attacked if we didn't act immediately.
    Alarm bells suddenly rang and obviously it was a scam.
