Block the number, ignore these charlatans. They are "injury specialists", the same scoundrels responsible for this preposterous "victim" culture of claiming money if you trip over the kerb.
I block every one of their numbers once they introduce themselves. I refuse to even talk - I just put the phone down, block the number and get on with what I am doing.
Fraudsters who want me to claim money for an accident which was the third party's fault and in which I received no injury whatsoever. Even after telling them I suffered zero injury, they still pester me to claim.

called me to ask about my road traffic accident i had in the last 2 years, I explained I hade never neen involved in accident, he said yes but theres a four figure sum waiting for you in compensation for your injuries, at this point I said your obviously not listening to me and put the phone down, isnt making a false claim fraudulant, isnt fraud a criminal offence?

I have been getting these calls daily for the past few weeks and have ignored them.
I have just registered with TPS to ensure no more calls of this nature.
I often get a follow up text message to say I have missed a call and this number is 0161 848 7400. I assume the same company.ess replied 7/21/14, 2:28 PMi keep getting the same call then a follow up text with the number you quoted, just a nuisance -

Called about 5 times this week regarding a minor accident I had 3 years ago, asking me to make false claims about an injury. Very aggressive in their approach, only way to get them off the line is to have an argument...going to report them to ombudsman

There are a few things that you can do to stop them making calls to you in the future, and help to stop them making calls to others.
You can register your landline or mobile number for free with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) - an industry body that gives customers the option to outline what kind of calls they are willing to take (opt in) and those they are not willing to accept (opt out).
All marketing companies are supposed to check against the TPS list before making an unsolicited call to see whether you have specifically agreed to accept calls like this.

If you have opted out then you are not supposed to be contacted by a telesales company.
If you are registered and are then contacted then you can complain to the TPS who will then be obliged to investigate and take action against companies that are disregarding the list.
If you register and complain to the TPS, and still get calls, then you can escalate it to the Government's 'Information Commissioners Office' (ICO) - they will ask if you have registered with the TPS and complained before they will action anything so do that first. If you have registered and complained to the TPS then the ICO will investigate further still.

This is a company that tries to get you to sign up for a compansation scam !!! , the seem to know details of a incident , I.e a minor car crash and try to get you to say that you were injured even though its not happened , they will then try to get more details , do not give any other details , try to log the number and name of the call maker then contact your insurance company to tell then soon as , if they start the process it's classed as a fraud investigation and could cost you a lot extra on your insurance and possible court charges plus their fees

Mr McKernan replied 3/25/13, 2:19 PM25/03/2013 - Received a call from Dean representing ACH.
During our discussion I was notified about a cheque held in my name for £1000.00 guaranteed; in return all I had to do was inform them about the time, date, place in which the accident occurred. Luckily I asked them to confirm the date in which they held on their records first, when they provided this information I knew their information was incorrect therefore did not disclose any information to them whatsoever.
Action must be taken whereby these numbers must be reported to local authorities.
Forums are fine but unless information about these illegal practices are reported then the unfortunate people out there will fall victim to such ill practises.
Be careful about the people you don’t know and keep at arm’s length the people you do, unless they are loyal and trustworthy friends.
