Explained that cost of equipment was £399 and reference RP54R4 would give 50% discount, installation being free. Explained that visit was 'no obligation'. First time £399 was mentioned as Sarah didn't mention that in the last call. AVOID

Repeated unsolicited calls to my number asking to speak to unknown person. Want to make appointment for visit from security expert/adviser. Vague reference to "not being charged for installation" and then proposal that purchases "would be at heavy discount". AVOID

Gareth Evans telephoned and advised they were part of a Government backed security campaign and were carrying out a local exhibition. He basically said that Fire Service would not respond, Police were not responding to break-ins and would have to wait for an ambulance in the event of a fall. However, if their security systems were installed, all would be well - Fire Service, Police and Ambulance would all respond. Mr Evans did not like being questioned regarding what he was saying and his attitude became aggressive and unpleasant. Best to avoid.

I was called from this number today.
The male caller said he was working on behalf of the UK Government as part of the National Home Safety Campaign and to raise awareness and let us know that police are not responding to old style burglar alarms.
As soon as I said, "so you're a company" - he hung up.
Are Trading Standards and the police aware this company is claiming it is acting with the government and that it is telling the public the police will not respond to suspected burglaries?

This call was from a Company called Rancom Security claiming to be part of a Police National Security Awareness campaign. They are trying the hard sell for Security kit and using the name of the Police to help them. Don't be fooled.
