they rang me to talk about how if i paid them for my loan and they would freeze the interest and pay it off that way.now i got a loan from my own bank and yes i have to pay interest but very small amount.i asked for the company name,website and the callers full name and told him id research them myself and decide if i think they are worth the hassle.gave me a website that dont work and gave the name jamie watts (he was clearly of ethnic origin though as i could barely understand him!)
the website was www.debt-helpline-uk.com but cant even google the company.tempted to call back and an entertaining barny!my friend also recieved a call from them about her debt and how they could help,she doesnt have a single loan,credit card or even an overdraft but they were still insisting on trying to talk her out of money.cold callers and telesales drive me crazy!i dont ever put my home phone as a contact number so lord knows what company they buying the telephone numbers from!! -

This number called me to say they were connected with the OFT and that my name kept flashing up due to the debts I had outstanding. They stated that the creditors were not happy with the balance being paid and that they were asking the OFT whether they can go for legal action. I could stop this if I joined their debt management program. They took card details and said they would send out legal docs in the post.
I have since cancelled my card at the bank and have reported them to the bank also.
