Apparently my work's receptionist transferred the lady over to my department specifically to myself mentioning about 118 listing to be updated.

Seem to have the company's address and trading name, tried to ask me to confirm information and my company's trading name. I said 'why don't you google our telephone number as the answers are there'. She was very aggressive and won't stop asking questions even though I specifically said 'I only recently joined and have no answer'try and avoid them and hang up if you can

Phoned up a line that's been deactivated for years and been listed on the TPS for years.

I ported the line to a new SIP trunk and immediately started getting their calls, so presumably they've been dialling that number for years without success.

Claimed to let us "update our 118 details", but they've obviously never had any business dealings with us for years, and that line has never been public knowledge. Hung up on them.

Received many calls wanting me to "update my details" I didn't have time to speak with them. I have since read the responses on here and I'm glad I haven't answered their calls since. Added them to my phones auto reject list.

Calling every half hour on my shop floor and taking me away from what I was doing. Really annoying! If they want to update their info why don't they just email us?

I use Voipfone and for £2 per month you can bar any number, and opt so that they get a really annoying (for them) message when they try to call you.

Claimed to be from a 118 type directory and wanted to clarify my company details. Never heard of company they said I was, explained three times they had the wrong number and it was a private mobile, but they still kept asking me for my details for their database. Yeah - so I'm going to give a stanger with a wrong number my personal details...!!!

Its not actually 118 118 but another similar service; 118 information.
They're a free listing service that don't look to sell any further services and are done with you in less than a minute. I apologised after initially assuming it was a sales call. I was wrong.
