   Seems ok to me. It was 118 118 and they wanted to update our business details. Didn't try to sell us anything.

   Its not actually 118 118 but another similar service; 118 information.
   They're a free listing service that don't look to sell any further services and are done with you in less than a minute. I apologised after initially assuming it was a sales call. I was wrong.

   They will pass on your details and you'll then get LOTS of cold calls from other companies. After confirming business details with them I got non-stop cold calls from inappropriate companies offering business services I do not need. Be prepared not to be able to do any work for the next few days and to lose clients who can't get through to you because you're answeing yet another cold call.....

   Called today. Message on my answerphone was half a recorded message talking about a number. Almost like I'd jumped in half way through someone else's conversation. Very unprofessional. Avoid

   Unsolicited call asking me to update 118 listing, which I have never had. Calling me as a business, which means the number is being taken from eBay business traders' profiles online

   As above repeated calls, which didn't answer. Three voicemails left, recorded messages asking for confirmation of details for 118 enquiries. Seemed to get docked a charge from my pay as you go balance each time they called.

   Women claiming to be from 118 Directory Enquiries needing to confirm business details to keep free listing. Have never been listed so this is a total BOGUS enquiry. Very annoying

   Just had a call and when I picked it up they hung up. I did 1471 and 0121 354 0949 came up so I goggled it and found these comments. They listened to me say my welcome message on the phone so they know my company name...if they ring me again and they have the decency not to hang up I will tell them where to stick it!

   Claimed to be from 118 118 and that if I did not give them information my company would no longer be listed with all the major directories, yellow pages etc.

    announced themselves as 118. they had some of my business details and asked for confirmation of these details as well asking for additional information such as email address etc. I believe they will pass this information onto other companies for telemarketing purposes.

    They are just 118 information(.co.uk). if you have a business they will put you on all of the major directories without you lifting a finger. Used them for years and have never had a spike in unsolicited call because of them. Take your tinfoil hats off people, it's safe.
