Traced origin back to an service provider who offers non-local firms geogrhic numbers.
Called Action Fraud who confirmed it was fraudulent and took the details of the number which they said would be handed to police.Maurice Minor replied 2012-11-12 13:01:15Hi, how did you trace this numbver back to a service provider? I now have 24 different company phone numbers on my call barred telephone.They only get through to me once! When is anybody going to do anything about these pests? They are illegal but no-one ever seems to be prosecuted. I think we should all complain to our M.P. every time we get a call. If we make their life a misery then they might start to take us seriously.sue replied 2012-11-22 18:17:26I was called today from this number. Not from Birmingham UK. I did not answer but after calling 1471 got the number. I dialled and got a message which seemed to be from BT. It claimed the number was being held for a customer but not yet allocated. BT themselves say it not a message they recognise. -

I was out, caller left message about 'press 5 to claim or 9 to unsubscribe'. First time I have received a call from this number. Total scammers, avoid!
