the company is called Reactive and I had a missed call about 10.30 in the morning so I called them back and the guy on the phone said I'm due a refund from the finance I took out which I haven't and I'm not owed anything, they new my name and that was about it they didn't have any other details but before I could say anything the phone line was really bad so I hung up. I'm not stupid to pass any details over the phone to anyone it doesn't matter who it is because you never know who else could hack into your telephone call and listen in.

I've just had a call from this number telling me I overpaid on some finance for a mortgage and car loan in 2012. Total bullshit. Never had a call from these before, but earlier today I updated my information including contact number! on several of my job site accounts including reed & jobsite. And I see several others have said that's were they get the information from, so I'm pretty sure it's where they found my information. Utter scumbags.

I got a call on my mobile this morning from 01216472889, the person calling me asked me if remember taking any loans out between 200?and200? (cant remember the exact years but it was over 5 years ago). I have never had a loan. When I said no they said bye and hung up and I thought nothing of it. I have just got a missed call at 15:45 from the same number.

Called everyday, morning noon and night for 2 weeks, didn't leave a message.
I called them back and they knew only my first name and said the reason for the call was about finance I took out before 2011 (I never had finance). I gave the kid a few choice words and hung up.
I know for a fact that they took my number from Jobsite. Worth keeping in mind when your using it to apply for jobs...
Surely this cannot be legal!? Can we find out who this company is and sue them collectively for harassment? -

Called saying i was due money as I overpaid on a loan or car repayment and i was due money. This apparently occurred between 2007-2011.
As i was 15 in 2007 i said to the guy I think this is a scam call and he tried to deny that, I said it must be as I was 15 and hung up. Dont answer any of there questions!
Does anyone know how to report this kind of crime? -

Numerous calls from these people. Sometimes I pick up before they disconnect call,other times I ask where they obtained info from and give them a load of hassle resulting in them disconnecting call. Can't be bothered with them any longer as they are just pests. Have now blocked call. My blocked no list is getting longer and longer - there are a lot of these callers around.

Just had a call from this number (I'm registered with Reed too ..thought I'd mention as seems relevant) - I was busy so advised the man of that. Just called back - she said it was to do with a refund from Barclaycard from when I was with them in 2005. Advised her I wasn't old enough to have a bank account then (I was) and she apologised and ended call. Both people I spoke to were from Manchester.

This number's a joke. They're probably trying to con people saying stuffs like, "you've overpaid for so and so, and you might be eligible for compensation" blah blah blah. That's what they told me and I hung up immediately. But the sad thing is I still keep getting call from this number.

Jst receieved a call from this num saying I had taken out a loan in 2012 and he understood that my memory may be a bit hazey (cheeky bugger!) for a higher purchase car. I told him I didn't drive and never have I took out a loan from a bank apart from a mortgage. I asked the name of the company and was asked 2 repeat my question which I did and still never got an answer. I then asked how he got my information and was told it was in his system. Which system I Dnt no because he wouldn't tell says he would need my bank detail to give me the info I requiered. When I told him he was calling me by my married name and my bank is still in my maiden name he quickly hung up. So to me I think it's a scam. Be carefull people

These people cold called me 3 times today i rang the number back being a Birmingham Number (I don't believe this company is from Birmingham and are using a proxy phone number to make it look like it's a british number but they was calling from India!)
(They must have got my details off reed.co.uk when i post my CV) saying i have a refund for Car Insurance which i said that's funny as i don't own a car, then it was house insurance and again i don't have house insurance,
In the end they got obviously my first name (Mr Chris) he kept calling me and also what bank i was with being Natwest after he was saying about Barclays
Should i be worried with him knowing what bank i am with??
in the end he hung up!! -

So they just called me(12:35) it started oddly, no one speaking and lots of laughter on the background, then the man picks up the phone and still laughing about whatever was going on there asked if I was "my name" and then mispronounced my surname. As it is a difficult surname I agreed, still he emphasized on repeating my surname wrongly up to three times, with a background laughter that seemed as my surname was a joke. After saying I was the person he was asking for, he said he was Louis/Lewis, and said we had spoken an Hour ago, obviously I haven't' since I haven't picked up the phone in the whole day. I asked what was this all about and he hanged up. BAD BAD AVOID AVOID, OR PULL THEIR LEG SOMEHOW

Just got a call from this number, guy claiming to be with the company Reactive (whoever they are) saying I had a repayment available for finance services (very specific right?).
Asked me if I knew who I was financed with in 2007 as that's when the money was due from. Funnily enough, I was in high school in 2007, duly informed the man of this information with a "who d'you think you're gonna f**king scam with this one you c**t?" and hung up. -

Definitely is a cold calling. They say you might be owed a refund on an over payment on a product taken out between 2001 and 2014. I said is this PPI and they said yes and I explained I had already been refunded. They then asked about insurance taken out on any HP like for furniture. I said I had none so they said they were sorry to bother me. I did ask where they got my details from and said ' a third party' passed it on. Its blatant cold calling which I understood was being outlawed....

Received a call from them today. They said they offer a refund from the loan I took in 2011... I didn't take any loans and back then actually I wasn't even living in the UK. When I asked what for a loan they're talking about, the man quickly apologised and hung up. He also knew my name. I am pretty sure they found it on my CV as I have uploaded it on the Internet.

I received a call from them today, stupidly confirmed personal details as I have recently made a PPI claim. After a few questions I realised it was a scam, can they use my details for anything such as name, address, date of birth mothers maiden name?
