They phoned today. A girl introduced herself and gave a company name, she sounded professional and then... Said they had been informed I was in a car accident. Obviously I wasn't. Kept asking me for details of people involved. Only thing I said was who has given you this information? As it's the only way to stop your details being passed around. They wouldn't disclose the source of their information, if they were just telesales cold callers they would be obligated to do so. They hung up. Phoning my phone provider now, quite worried about this call as their technique was much more sophisticated than most calls that fall into this category.
